Media has always been very efficient in Pushing the legal authorities in such Complicated cases. The group accusing Media/Arnab because of his interest in SSR's case. The truth is media is always this keen. And it does make Mockery and circus of such cases but it's not because of TRP but because Media's work is to bring everything in front of you every minute details of Every party and then it's the job of police and Public to get through the real culprit.

No one knows the truth and a Murder doesn't happen without anyone's Fault or Reasons so obviously many dirty things does come out, Media aren't legal authorities to know which details connect to the murder and which doesn't so they does give out every details. If all they want is TRP I don't mind until n unless the Culprits get punished.

I still remember the first headline said that Indrani's sister was killed etc.......few days later they said the girl killed was not her sister but her daughter............then they said she only killed the daughter...

upon that i was not well that time, but used to search the newspaper for the updates, read it and feel more sick

yea, no-one was sure if Indrani and her first husband ever married or not....... but when she married her second husband, she left her kids with her parents and never owned them as her own kids.....

also Sheena's father totally shrugged any responsibility or emotion towards Sheena...... he said i am middle class guy, happily married with kids, so leave me out of it....

Not really sure what he wants to say here.

But, I believe the police did a good job then. I mean this case was twisted on some another level and Peter mukherjee had immediately tried to make himself look like the innocent part. Like he was shocked to find out that sheena wasn't Indrani's sister but her daughter. But, they managed to catch his lies and made him a co-accused in the case. I remember their calls records with Peter's son and Sheena's boyfriend Rahul were also made public where both Peter and Indrani were trying to gaslight and mislead him when he was asking about Sheena's whereabouts. They even exhumed Sheena's body. These people were pretty rich and knew folks in the government and the media yet they managed to nab them. But, I remember a big controversy when the Police chief Rakesh Maria was shunted out suddenly by the government and everyone suspected it had to do with this case.

Whatever it was, although there hasn't been a conviction as yet, but at least Indrani's ex-husband, Peter, and Indrani are in jail right now and not scot free.

IMO, mum police was much more efficient then todays........ they solved the whole thing only on the basis of one anonymous phone call........ no-one knows who called them......the media guess is that it was Sheena's close friend and her husband who stay in ahmedabad or some such place.....

Its not about efficiency but intentions. Ofcourse Police is more efficient than media but Meme police intention was to close the case as suicide since day one. They were working in that direction hence got called off.

I am not big fan of main stream media but this is also true that without media this case would have never got the limelight it is getting right now.
