What you wish to do regarding Gunjan Saxena movie?
Gunjan Saxena biopic would be the first major release starring a talentless, non deserving, and below average looking (despite multiple plastic surgeries) nepo kid in the main role since much of the country finally woke up to the unfair practices of Bollywood.
So I was interested in learning your anticipated attitude towards the movie. You can call it market research or just satisfying my curiosity.
I have explained my options in details:
Option 1: You wouldn't watch the movie on Netflix irrespective of whether you have the subscription or not as you want to discourage Netflix from buying movies starring such talentless actors as leads.
Option 2: You would watch the movie on Netflix and would press the thumbs up icon as you really don’t care who is deserving and who’s not, as long as you get your regular dose of Bollywood entertainment.
Option 3: You would watch (or not) the movie but definitely press the thumbs down icon to show your displeasure to Netflix.

Option 2 as usual. Especially at a time like this with everyone stuck inside their home and bored as hell. I need new content. I need to have that friday experience with a new bollywood release. Never gave a damn whether it's a starkid or outsider, never will.
Also the thumbs up/down feature on Netflix is not to encourage or discourage them to purchase films. It's for their own algorithm to give you suggested titles based on your taste. All your ratings are for you only and not Netflix. Your ratings are averaged and accordingly the algorithm calculates and suggests you titles that you would like to watch.
And again to reiterate at the expense of sounding like a broken record, you can't boycott any film on an OTT platform. Neither can you downvote the film. OTT will keep purchasing films whether one likes it or not because that leads to them extending their library. They are only focussed on that, especially now with all big films coming to OTT ( including some that people think will still release when theatres open). If Netflix doesn't buy a title fearing uproar, Prime or Hotstar will buy it.
I dont watch rona dhona movies. If Jhanvi was grinding or something id watch it 👍🏼
That being said these internet releases are hard to track in terms of success/failure. An a theater/cinema release would gauge true reactions

Thanks for commenting and I think majority will go with Option 2 as people just need their regular dose of desi entertainment and don’t care about anything else!
You are also right about the main functionality of Netflix thumbs button that it titrates their algorithm for curating personalised recommendations to you. But much dislike also puts a title further down the line for everybody, so it works both ways!
You are also right that uproar won’t stop the OTTs from purchasing such titles, BUT IT WOULD DEFINiTELY LOWER THE PRICE OFFERed for such purchases thereby reducing the producer’s margin and FORCE THEM to DOUBLE THINK their CASTING StRateGy.
No I won’t watch. I don’t want to support it as there is such thing as ott success too.

In this age of data, everything gets tracked my friend. Netflix (and am sure other platforms as well) has a huge department for tracking such parameters. Dislike or ignorance will trigger their top bosses to rethink their purchasing strategy and lower the price offered to such titles.
Thank you for commenting.
I will watch it for Gunjan Saxena's sake but will also make sure I point out on social media if Janvi's terrible acting in the trailer bleeds into the movie too. Its not entirely her fault for being burdened with such a heavy role in her second movie but man didnt she take acting lessons to finesse her craft? Her expressions in the trailer are pure cringe 😆
mere pass Netflix hi nahi hain.
Netflix hota bhi toh, main.Lucifer season 4 dekhta first.
I mean I haven't yet watched Shakuntala Devi after downloading the movie in Prime, toh Gunjan Saxena toh may be I will watch when it airs on television.
Nahi bhai uska faltu acting tolerate nahi kar sakti but if reviews are good i will give it a try (what other options do we have rather than tolerating these untalented ugly kiddos getting shoved down our throats). For entertainment we have to watch something and unfortunately this shitz is what we get named jannu baby
I will watch it if it has good reviews, won't watch it if reviews say it sucks. Good work should always be appreciated whether it is from a star kid or outsiders. I don't want star kids to think there is no room for them in bollywood because of nepotism debate. They have every right to be around, and succeed as much as others. I just want to be part of a bollywood where outsiders don't have to struggle so much to get the same exposure they get. I don't want fans to ignore outsiders who are talented or directors to overlook a particular outsider and hire a less talented insider simply because of their connections.
