The ongoing war of words between Mumbai Police and Bihar Police took a turn for the worse on Monday after Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey questioned the Mumbai Police as to why they did not investigate the money trail while probing the suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

"In the past four years, around Rs 50 crore was credited to the bank account of Sushant Singh Rajput but surprisingly all of it was withdrawn. In one year, Rs 17 crore was credited to his account, out of which Rs 15 crore was withdrawn. Isn't this a crucial point to be investigated? We are not going to sit quite. We will question them(Mumbai Police) as to why such leads are hushed up," a visibly perturbed DGP told the media.

Earlier on Sunday, the Bihar Police chief had reacted strongly when his subordinate Vinay Tiwari, an SP rank officer, was quarantined by the Mumbai municipal authorities.

"Instead of sharing evidence or handing over the postmortem and forensic reports of Sushant, they (Mumbai) have almost house arrested our SP. I have not seen such non-cooperation by any other state police. If the Mumbai Police are sincere in their approach, they should share the investigation with us," said Pandey, considered as one of the most outspoken serving top cops.

With Bihar Police raising questions over the investigation into Sushant's case by the Mumbai Police, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh spoke to the media in a bid to clear the air.

The commissioner revealed that as of now, the statements of 56 witnesses have been recorded. He also ruled out any alleged party being thrown at the actor's residence in Bandra the night before he committed suicide on June 14

I feel the family is going to come under alot of scrutiny now, which is why they thought comprehensively before filing the FIR. They knew they're going to be blamed as well, for not being there during need but did it to have justice for Sushant anyways.

I hope people don't criticize the family entirely though, because Shweta clearly asked Sushant to come to US and be w her.

Oh he did , he did sound like a typical Indian parent, who when well educated reprimands in that language(english) and tone.To think he has seen him grow, I can understand they were all irritated with how he was behaving and did not know the crux of the matter. Also I remember they did visit Mumbai and he was spotted with them in one of the restaurants. What worries me that they were not allowed to stay at his house, you see one would feel really bad as a family in that case. Moreover if you look at that message he has reprimanded him for having no control on his life.We all have been scolded that way on being on the wrong. I did not really find anything offensive that way.

Again why was the message communicated to him via Siddarth Pithani. The parents/relatives do not have their son's number. How did Siddarth get these snapshots? What is the point of releasing it now, since it actually focuses on the factor that he was not in control of his life. He did think that this one set of messages can actually lead to people questioning family. Indian children , especially the middle class ones we have all been there..

Seriously, Sushant was around very toxic people in the company of friends and a girlfriend.

He needed to be with his family just like Kangana who looks very close to her family members.

Pithani unintentionally has helped the case against Rhea. Especially the mention of ber family.

In the eyes of SSR's family, it would've seemed like he didn't want them anymore because of his girlfriend and her family.
