YRKKH review of 25th July 2020 episode

Kaisa sulook...lala I love those bgms that come on in kaira scenes.

Points I want to make on how dry this story line is and why...

Corona has affected so many people in this entire world, but we are shown idiotic scenes where Kartik goes to that sita ladies house and takes of his mask.

+_+ sorry but he should still have had it on. He went there for business reasons... Even if there was no scene shown of him actually interacting with her that was a fob of a scene for me.

Coming to the main story line. Corona has affected businesses world wide. It affecting the jewellery bussiness would actually be kind of something expected. Considering how rich the goenkas are rather than showing us an unrealistic rendition of them losing everything in two seconds. I would love if they showed us them having to lay people off close of stores etc. This would be an interesting thing to see, how they tried their best to stay afloat in this plus tried not to hurt their workers.

Again I will point out that I have only seen one episode hence I could be factually correct.

I want to point out people are devastated by corona and all of the misery it brought to us. seeing our fav characters deal with mundane issues like having to wonder if he likes his wife in a sari or in heels and off shoulder blouses just seemed ridiculous.

And coming back to todays episode was just ridiculous, Kartik looked like he was heading of to commit suicide for money which was stupid. But what was actually written in even looks stupider.

Of him deciding jails better than living in poverty. Leaving his son fatherless was better than raising him in poverty.

Which was by far the dumbest thing i have seen in a while. Sure Kausati which i watched before this was rivaling with stupidity but this made me cringe so hard.

It seemed like a dumb idea naira would usually undertake. Without thinking, now kartik is. Yuck yuckity yuck.

Now we will all be tortured watching naira prove his innocence again for a hit and run...

I think a normal human would have rather lived in poverty with their whole family than done this nonsense kartik is doing...

Yepp.. This was such a blunder scene. The first episode had such a good attempt at making the sanitizing, wearing the masks cutesy. Why this now 😳.

About the pandemic, there was a mention of the financial troubles. Also about Goenkas paying their workers inspite of losses. And ya manish hyperventilated about losing the business and the house.

Definitely agree that the whole jail idea or whatever they have planned seems stupid. Naira saving karthik had already been done so many times. We have just come out of the police, court room drama with luv kush track.

To me seeing the image conscious goenkas in poverty is so interesting. Especially dadi or chachi who is used servants, the bratty kairav, the manish goenka in a middle class/ poor household would be interesting. Kaira who have some experience with living in lesser circumstances helping them. Also coping with the pressure from making ends meet to growing back to the same level. The shift in their psyche or characterization would have been interesting to explore.

I did see a clip of kartik kissing her over her face guard. I kind of found that so cheesey I wanted to barf🤣I don't find corona circumstances romantically cute.

They should have given better scenes of Naira maybe forgetting her mask and kartik giving her a good scolding about it.

And how dangerous it is.

Manish and dadi said they were poor before. right I think that if they made them image conscious it would be a little strange... at this point. But at the same time you are right it could be believable...they have become image conscious ...

I wish they showed us more corona paranoia among-st them...

again rather than their biggest worries seemingly being that weirdo sita.

The double role naira idea was very poor thought out. Because I don't see a difference between Naira and Tina besides the stealing LOL

Making naira the adrash bahu was such a stretch she is not the adarsh bahu ...Lol shes a hypocrite in heels...when accuses her of cheating runs and plays dead for years with her tail between her legs...but when aditya accused keerti of the same boldly advised Keerti to stand up for whats right LOL

They made kaira fools honestly.

And this twins/double role plot was supposed to be light hearted and fun. But it looks stupid and cringey.

Ok I have no idea what's going on in the serial since I unsubscribed to star plus and all "entertainment " channels 😆 N switched to web ,as.per what you have written, howcome crorepatis and multi crorepatis do not have that much income to back on in difficult times? Like..sell off their women's jewellery and their 2 generations can eat...

It's a difficult time for everyone but if crorepatis like goenkas r crying (aisa nai hai people didnt commit suicide in reality..a lot of them did over financial issues ) , but the lockdown is over, things are looking up, it's not like before but def. There is a hope that it will improve although it will take time and a lot of effort ..so cant they show something like kartik naira sorting out the company troubles and keeping it afloat ? Okay kind of agreeing by all your points. The show did go down the hill after such crap tracks.

But i dont know if you know this or you dont but where i live there people still watch tv and follow what they do.

Like the one wearing masks...there is no show which is showing that kind of awareness ,not that i know of..also so boldly...secondly people here in my state have not been wearing masks specially ladies... they gossip and talk mouth to mouth ... closer then before.. the people who live in areas where tv is popular and they go by this thing of seeing this and realizing that you need to wear mask ...sanitize your hands after coming home is hella important. Believe me i have seen people follow the serials more then the govt. So these all things are very very right.

Next in this pandemic people including farmers have committed suicide... there are govt employees and private employees who are selling vegetables to have a little source of income. Read times of india. The private teacher who has 50,000 salary is now on streets selling veg. To feed his family. So no surprises if they did loose money after 3 months...

Then they have shown us how manish and kartik did not fire people which is exactly what is happening here. After 3 months people are getting fired ...they are loosing there jobs.. and this gives us and people a message about how no matter whT circumstances these people has served us... and firing them is no option ( inspired by ratan tata who recently gave an interview. ) but still near my house every single person working has been sent home.

Next about story line...i dont know where they are heading but finally i get to see a man from that family sacrificing something.. its alwYs been naira..the one who has always stepped back...i am amazed at the acting in such tough situations where mumbai alone has more cases then china.

They have brilliantly performed scenes today..

I see other serials and cringe so bad because they are looking like cut and paste videos. Even new ones look like 2 people in a screen at a time...and every scene is just photoshopped together. To be acting and going on sets to work...to give us story line and to blend into what is happening is what yrkkh is all about.

People living lavish lifes cannot handle poverty. Poverty is harsh.....and to have a helping hand that would save u from it is a miracle.

Also just read how a man sold his 2 year old daughtet because he couldn't afford meals. And a man just sold his only source of income (his cows ) to get a cellphone for online classes of his son. This is the reality of what is happening. So kartik just did what people are doing to live and feed mouths here.

Not talking about rich people who have crores in there banks ..but about middle class people. And about how goenkas are rich then feeding every single employee for 3 months without any income can lead you to this. And you still havent sent anyone home.

That double role was cringe.but i was more mad at people who think that wearing and your outer look tell your sanskar.

Also about how kartik is imagining and os confused about his wifes looks...well that made me laugh ...atleast it will make people laugh who are in quarantine dealing with this monstrous virus.

Ps - bottom line that this is best that we are going to get in this situation and i am so glad that there are things even little that they are showing us. Conditions are getting worse in india. And to be able to entertain us..is just more then enough for me. No offense just wanted to tell u what i felt.

The storyline has been beyond illogical for years now, even before the 5 years leap, the whole baby swap, sudden memory loss and what not, was far from reality. The jokes on us if we expect ITV shows to have a decent storyline because at the end of the day, “realistic” content doesn’t sell. There are several examples where shows started on a good note but the story was eventually moved to family politics because the ratings weren’t there.

Coming to Yrkkh, the double role story was clearly meant to introduce the show on a lighter note rather than starting with drama from day one. The track ended in less than two weeks, I don’t see why people need to complain about it not making sense. A few scenes were OTT especially the Tina one’s but all in all, I enjoyed the Kaira scenes we got. Song sequences were hilarious. Shows are watched for entertainment and that track provided exactly that, entertainment!
Kartik agreeing to go to jail in exchange of the loan is extremely stupid and I don’t even want to comment on the storyline. The episodes are likeable because of Shivin’s chemistry and acting. Mohsin is the best in emotional scenes, so yes, I am primarily watching the track for him and Kartik regardless of how senseless he appears atm.

Production of Yrkkh has always been superior to other shows. As you said, most shows don’t even have characters in the same frame but for Yrkkh, that’s hardly the case. Seriously, so glad Kaira scenes are not weirdly edited with body doubles.

Given the circumstances, I don’t really feel like criticising anyone, the cvs or the storyline. They need to survive this pandemic and ensure the show gets the required ratings. With 11 years of experience, they know what will sell and they are showing exactly that. Least we can do is not mock them for their efforts because livelihood of hundreds is at stake here.

Also just few days back parth (anurag) was corona positive after shooting started...the shooting had to be stopped...i do not watch the serial but i am his fan and then i see on instagram how shivin do regular checkups...wear masks...and then every thing is sanitised... and that makes me wonder that i cannot in no circumstances am going to say negative about them. They are here to entertain us...and they have touched the topics...but at the end they know drama is what audiences get hooked to.

Also their acting is what keeps me sane despite the story line.

Shivangi as usual killing it with her expressions.

I saw the video of how shooting is being done and it’s like going on a battlefield every day. With the number of cases in Mumbai, I can only imagine what actors and their families must be feeling because despite all the precautions they take, they can’t wear a mask continuously and they can’t always maintain the required distance. The fear must always be there and it can be psychologically taxing.

-- I don't expect any tv soap/seriel to really show this intricately and responsibly by any means. But because YRKKH included corona into the plot. They should be responsible when showing it. And not just use it as some filler space in their show. For two weeks and thereafter forgotten. Don't show it at all if their is no point to it. Other than being a cute romantic scene which again was beyond lame to me.

-- I do express I was not too sure about the entire circumstances of all of this but I honestly feel being as rich as they are it doesn't make sense that having Singhania's as relatives. 100+s of other rich relatives like mansi and anmol they could not sort something out. How is it a good idea that they show someone commit such idiocy or hint at such idiocy.

Especially someone educated, with so much influence etc.

Who has a young son. Why was their no thought process what would my son do without a father. Was being more poor worse than leaving his child fatherless.

Again one can pander and argue he wants his family safe in corona situation but I think that there are other things one needs to look at like realistically nobody makes choices like that. They usually having savings for these kind of instances. A fund is usually set up for their child...

I just feel you rather make them poor than show some stupid separation again. Because I think most people are done with the separations there is zero excitement in seeing these two get married again and again and separate over lame misunderstandings

-- Never watch today so will not comment on their performances. I think nobody needed this tbh. The show could take a break for a bit longer and the safety of everyone could have been maintained. The lower paid staffs would be affected mostly by this decision but I think that a longer lock down is needed.

Watching the weird pasting these shows are doing. And the weird scenes of people barely touching each other is so cringe.

This show is not any better with those weird scenes of naira taking pics of Kartik from afar. +_+

I just think that for the safety of everyone we needed a longer stricter lock down. China sorted this out in three months with barely any issues the way rest of countries are battling is affected by global issues.

But you know what could have been a better written episode someone in the family getting corona.

Them showing us that it does not always kill you. There is positivity to it but also stigma once you have it people don't want to be near you etc.

I wish all the shows on tv went and had their writers rewrite better stuff. This stuff is disappointing to watch.
