Again I'd say that out of context even the noblest of actions can be made to look terrible. If you had watched the show, you'd have had a better understanding of the character arc and his choices. We can't summarise the journey of these characters depicted over hundreds of episodes in one post.

Ok My Two cent is here , RB came to confess the Truth , bajaj tried a lot but somehow prerna dint want to listen or ignore the tension of bajaj for that moment. she was excited about their marriage and somehow unknowingly gave a comfort to bajaj by saying that - nothing could be parted both of them now, kuch bhi ho jayee they will be together , aur yeah jo anguthi hai (engagement ring) yeah hai nishani kay un dono ka kismat jud chuke hai , ab kisi bhi tarah yeah rishta nei tutega .. after hearing this level of surety bajaj turned as very much human , he could not make excited prerna sad who was happiest and relaxed would be wife of him at that time. so bajaj hide the truth for not let go the situation turned as disaster. it is not like prerna would not accept him after knowing the truth , no .. she definitely would accept him ,cos prerna worshiped of bajaj . so somehow that things would be sounding morally wrong by bajaj , but that situation was not looking that bad , balki it was bajaj's right decision to hide this for that moment . cos madhbhi ek toh sexually bajaj ko cheat kia during the drunken state .. uparse just before PRB marriage she came to blackmail him .. PRB was very much together that time. so nothing could be made them separated. but agar bajaj bol dete toh prerna would hurt which he dint want to .. but it was not like prerna would leave him , nope.. aisa kabhi nei hote

perfect explanation Aparna, the character of RB goes with the story, no one will believe that a selfish ruthless RB would one day let go off Prerna .. but did she ? NO because she was already in love with him .. even if Prerna confronted the third time, I am sure she would have forgiven and accepted him with all his flaws
just like she did 20 years later when Madhavi's truth was out

the problem with the societal norms is if woman takes advt of a man who is in an inebriated state , the woman is not sued but then when the genders are interchanged hell brakes lose ..
I so dislike Madhavi for how she exploited RB sexually when he was not in his senses while she was completely aware of it .

Munni di, it's so heartening to see that the cvs really put effort into this show. I mean the RB journey alone makes this show unforgettable. But they've also used plot points to tie in this growth and that's fantastic. I feel I can rhapsodize on RB's journey as a character everytime I think about it. S1 Bajaj just has my soul.

I share your dislike for Madhavi.. And I hate the fact that RB was made to feel as if it was his fault. He was a victim here.. He had clearly been taken advantage of. It feels like victim shaming. A part of me wishes that there could have been the scenes where RB did tell Prerna about Madhavi and she had put Madhavi to task for what she did.

Please tell me what your reaction was to the first PRB marriage track. Were you on board with the new introduction to the serial from the moment RB walked in or did it take you time to warm up to him?

so finally.I am here to share this .. 🤣 sorry it got a bit long ...

It was like 18 years ago, watched it from first episode, like I watched many "K" shows on TV back then 😆...

so the very first day Bajaj made his entry in that white suit , at Mr.Singh's party , I was so enthralled , that salt and pepper look, his walk , the suave , authoritative RB , instantly captured all my attention, that first meeting of Prerna and RIshab Bajaj in Mr.Singh's party sealed it for me .

He's got the best dialogues , his mannerisms , body language, business knack where he leaves the opponents with no choice, that famous cricket match rights .. so many which made this character so enticing for me in the initial days and the best part was his "Aap "

I was instantly onboard the moment Rishab Bajaj walked into the show .. till the end

PRB first marriage , this got to be one of my favorite track of theirs , this marriage was a conditional , an unusual , she left not just her love but her kid , the sacrifice was paramount, but what I liked is Prerna's strength, she never played victim or self pittied, she was graceful and accepted the new life bestowed on her as Mrs.Rishab Bajaj and a surprise element of 1 special needs kid and 2 notorious teenage kids

Prerna and RB's discussions were so mature about love, life, decisions, choices , I am referring to a dining table scene of PRB after marriage, ( will let u know about the episode number later on ) the discussion was soo good , their differing viewpoints , their backgrounds, their experiences , the talk about it, they started understanding each other

and the best part of that track was how Prerna made that house into a home, how she made those kids who called their dad as "Mr.Rishab Bajaj " and her as "step mom" came around to refer them "dad" and "prerna mom" this particular phase gave me the vibes of Parichay movie, Hrishikesh Mukherjee's movie .. where Jitender character introduces the kids and father, he Prerna did that she got the kids and dad close to each other , in the process she becomes that "ahem khadi" which kept the family together

Prerna slowly understands Rishab is not bad as she assumed him to be , the first realization when RB was accused in Anurag's accident during durga puja in kolkata .. that police station scene where RB proves himself innocent, Pre immediately writes an editorial in support of RB , to clear his name ..

I still remember the unnamed pang in Pre when Menaka comes into their life , trying to snatch the kids away .. Kukki bday scene was so poignant

during this phase of first marriage , they were bound by respect, trust, understanding, admiration , friendship and lot more , there comes a time when Pre was all waiting to accept RB , but that unfortunate accident ...I always wonder what would have happened if not for that accident , i remember telling my mom RB is not dead he will be back like Mihir 😆and in couple of episodes they showed him being in a hospital in Aus,.. phew lol i was glad he is alive and the actor and character both will be part of this show wasn't sure for how long but 😆


every day on tv used to look forward to PRB u=scenes post their first marriage, there is a certain pull in post marriage love stories , there is lot to look forward to as one has to let go the past , accept the present, trying to know the person , exploring each other, being amused, surprised , in awe or laugh , each time u know something new about ur partner .

I think it's already so long .. but i have so many favs in this phase lol I consider it as a foundation of their relation

indeed it's victim shaming , he was made to look at fault not just in story pov but also from audience pov where viewers on the face think a man cheated and not that he could as well be exploited , be a victim with shouldering guilt ...

I so wish that .. most of the times these characters decide to go against something based on their pre-conceived notions and assumptions, Bajaj shd have told her Prerna, Prerna would have taken Madhavi to task but then there wouldn't be future plots n tracks to unfold if there are no misunderstandings on tv so yeah 😆

And the best part , after leaking the news of tanisha as bajaj's daughter .. the way healed Mr bajaj's pain.. awww

though sometimes i rooted for madhbhi for bajju , but in a certain point she dint do the right thing with him.. basss the mercy was Bajaj watched prerna's face in madhbhi during the drunken state ..

I think I have written essays on RB's character and yet, it's not enough. He as a character will always fascinate me. His growth, his love, his obsession, his pain. Everything about his character is beautiful. I can't get over it.

Post divorce love of PRB has a very very special place in my heart... It's my muse. It inspires me to write. They inspire me to write.

I sometimes wish they'd just telecast the old season only.
