Why could Bollywood not produce great offbeat actresses?

Like it has produced great offbeat actors like Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique, Manoj Bajpayee, etc.

Nandita Das - how many films is she doing if she's so great, huh?

Tabu - alright, I'll give you that. Though she started off in mainstream and then moved to offbeat.

Konkana, Kalki - meh.

Tabu is overrated tbh, she has the same expressions in all her movies

I guess Radhika Apte, Konkona, fulfills the criteria. Richa Chaddha, Nimrat , Tisca, are also there.

I bet dollars to donuts that these people hate being referred to as offbeat 😆
