I am anyways biased towards Karna a bit. I understand all debatable points that he did not make dharma-based decisions, he gave more imp to friendship, he insulted Draupadi etc etc ... but i somewhere believe that he did not get guidance from get go like Arjun did. Arjun did have lot of advantages. Both are awesome fighters and righteous also many a times. But Karna's destiny was brutal and on top his choices.

First of all, Arjun and Karn both reacted the same during Draupadi's insult. So Arjun too was to be blamed the same.

But Arjun too had a hard life.

Pehle toh he got guidance from Kunti which was wrong in so many levels. ----like follow orders without considering your conscience ( both in Draupadi's marriage with 5 bros and her vastraharan ) coz he was taught that way. Then he was taught by Drona who made him the special student everyone looks forward to and we all know how much pressure that is. Also he used him for his selfish revenge. Then he spent like 80% of his life in the forest before kurukshetra ( even more than the other brothers ). He was always considered as the pawn to establish Yudhishthir on throne. And usually the middle brother are the least pampered. And after kurukshetra, he lost all his sons as well had to kill his whole family with his own hands. This leaves scars in the heart we can never imagine !

I think the only good thing that happened in his life was Subhadra.

Well, yes both had their destiny written in such a way that both were used in some way or the other!! And Karna had to join adharma as Kunti had to have 5 sons only as in a mutthi, i had read this somewhere that someone had promised Kunti that her 5 sons will live, was that Krishna??? Its an irony that the almighty writes destiny and choices in such a manner for the greater good that some times I start a debate between myself that do we really have a choice????
