I’m a Psychologist. Might transition into being a military psychologist in the defence force later in life.

Yeah, basic awareness in terms of mental health is very poor in India. People will post statuses on SM that call me whenever you want and will judge you on drop of a hat. I was depressed during my coaching and the doctor helped me a lot. I can't express the exact moment in words which catapulted me out of it. I was talking to her and something happened and it felt I am fine after that moment. Close friend of mine says that you use depression card for gaining sympathy .I have tried explaining him that the more you talk about it the more you recover but damn stupid people, rather damn understanding and stigma around it.

BTW one should do what feeds their soul. In a long term that is the way to attain happiness. SO cheers to you for having guts to risk it all and switch to another field

Thank you 😊

I even given up on the idea to study psychology. As there is a saying what is meant for you will come to you. Well this is it. I do regret why I changed into business. It was because I was listening to people and not my own heart. I was distracted and somewhere didn’t had the confidence in myself. Well it isn’t too late. A lady told me her friend is 60 and she has became a nurse. I’m like wow, that’s inspiration. I believe positive circle meaning positive friends makes a huge difference for depression treatment. Who supports you and believes in you. Because a depression patients deep down believe they are not good enough and that is a very scary place to be. And finding a right therapist is challenging.

Not how I remember it. It was said by the one from Toronto. I think Shaitan is from there not Gaurav IIRC.

Coursera has a very nice one on Health Informatics to get your feet wet. I am sure you have looked into it but wanted to let you know if you haven’t.

Yeah I know. Will get to it eventually. Thanks!

Thanks everyone else for your best wishes.

I'm now learning Medical Coding but I eventually want to end up in Healthcare Informatics.
