She was you can continue your studies in business and I told her that is not me. I have zero interest working in corporations. She gave me other options in business field. I said I like to help people, I like to share my smiles with others. She said that is a huge jump from business to psychology. I like to help people with anxiety and depression. Many people told me and they thought I was in psychology field because how I made them feel. I thought a lot about it and in USA it will take me 7 years to become a psychology. But then time goes fast and I should do where I can make a difference. My interest will be helping children and teenagers with depression or anxiety. Help them to see they can follow their dreams and they are worth it. I like to bring awareness in depression. People assume if you are seeking to talk with counseling it means you have mental illness. Which is not true. Currently working on a blog and podcast on depression awareness.

Yeah, basic awareness in terms of mental health is very poor in India. People will post statuses on SM that call me whenever you want and will judge you on drop of a hat. I was depressed during my coaching and the doctor helped me a lot. I can't express the exact moment in words which catapulted me out of it. I was talking to her and something happened and it felt I am fine after that moment. Close friend of mine says that you use depression card for gaining sympathy .I have tried explaining him that the more you talk about it the more you recover but damn stupid people, rather damn understanding and stigma around it.

BTW one should do what feeds their soul. In a long term that is the way to attain happiness. SO cheers to you for having guts to risk it all and switch to another field

WAS an IT Professional. I quit my job to take care of my special needs child. When I thought of getting back to working, I couldn't bring myself to working in IT anymore. Thanks to the gazillion doc visits for my child with practically every specialty there is in the medical field, I started developing an interest in learning about human anatomy. I'm now learning Medical Coding but I eventually want to end up in Healthcare Informatics.

Coursera has a very nice one on Health Informatics to get your feet wet. I am sure you have looked into it but wanted to let you know if you haven’t.

Software Engineer.

Wanted to become a Criminal Lawyer after Engineering but did not go for the classes which were in the evening 😒

Lawyers get paid more than Engineers and can work as a freelancer too unlike Engineers who have to be employees to earn half the salary of Lawyers 😭

comping is compositing......which has many sub departments like rotoscopy, paint and main compositing.....you start with the most labour inducing job like roto and paint (where you erase an unwanted element frame by frame for the entire scene) then climb up the ladder to being a compositor, who take different layers of the scene combine it, enhance it and then render the final frame that we mostly see on screen........... this is what mostly needed in bollywood movies......

what I do is part of the asset team.......which starts from character sketching, to concept art, then moves on to modeling (sculpting) , texturing and shading (painting the asset) then rigging (getting it ready for animation, this is what i do) and animating the character and then lighting (lighting the scene as per the requirements, in vfx it would mean matching it to the live action shot by the real actors).......there is also camera tracking and matchmove which create a computer camera which matches the cg character's position as per the real life scene, to show the characters interaction to the real actors.....

its really interesting........
