I watched it yesterday and it seemed like a mish-mash of saas-bahu soaps and 90s Bollywood movies. So cringey. Same filthy extravagance, same "saas needing bahu to prove that she's worthy of the son" tropes.

All KJo movies don't have extremely shitty acting either. But the point is, the subject matter was of an outdated Bollywood movie.

Honestly I liked K3G more than Crazy little Asians..it was very poorly made for some reason and I dint even connect to it

KJo movies are waaaaaaay better than Crazy Rich Asians. It just got hyped because it was soap opera with an all Asian cast for the first time.

Yeah. So freaking cliched and unoriginal. Found myself rolling my eyes all the way. How the movie was raved by critics is a such a JOKE. Representation is very important, but let's not praise anything for the sake of it.

black panther was the best movie ever, watched it in theatres. Not everyone has the same taste in movies. Critics are just like everyone else, they have opinions. Gully boy got rave reviews and hype was not interested in watching it because it seemed like 8 mile story. Sadly great movie that came out that same year didn’t get hype and it was original story that should’ve been Oscar entry. Crazy rich Asian seemed like a cheesy movie from the trailer, I didn’t watch it because I can’t relate to the story or characters.
