It's the way nepo baby Shraddha is so beloved. She is no competition to anyone and nobody really takes her seriously. She's just hanging around. If your favorite is Deepika or Katrina or Priyanka, Shraddha has no relevance. It's easy to like her.

what people don’t like is when successive generations after actresses like Priyanka, Katrina, and deepika downgrade to actresses like alia. Or ananya. And portray them as top actresses who can be pitied with them. It’s like going from gold to silver and you can’t comprehend it. The comparisons are even worse. It’s a cringe fest when I’m supposed to be comparing lead performances like the sky is pink to a 13 year old looking child in gully boy who could never deliver performances that a rani, or pc had, and then have by to recognize her as a top actress of our generation.

@bold: THIS. Am I the only one who notices that the ones who are loved by mass and class do not brag about their privileges and let their work do the talking ? Some of them haven't even gotten any benefits of nepotism and have actually fared better in their careers than the generation before them.

it goes on these extremes. Nepotism is not the problem solely.

Alia is the worst case of nepotism and power play. That’s one extreme. People pulling strings for her because she is a star kid and for their own selfish agendas.

While you have the likes of Abhishek getting films despite being a poor actor-that’s another extreme

flops have nothing to do with nepotism. Good performers flop all the time! Some of these actors have been praised for their performances despite flops-they deserve to stay imo. If you have proved your skill set, and have a bad performance here and there. It is okay. Actors are artists they can’t be perfect all the time. But if you got actors who can’t act at all and have repeatedly not been able to show skills, they are the problem. however..talent is not always necessary for acceptance. Ie. Shraddha. If you are drawing in an audience as a performer, then you have made a place
