Polygamy movies -comedy ?

I don't understand why movies based on polygamy are categorized as comedy.There are so many movies made such as gharwali baharwali where Anil Kapoor 's character ends with both of them.

Such errant husbands who stray or remarry are usually left off the hook. Their acts are justified either through quirks of fate or to save the woman's honour🤓.

The ML cheats the FL with another woman and then she is labelled cruel and a heartless bitch when she misbehaves or doesn't accept.If the same film have had two men in a woman's life she would have been called characterless. The film wouldn't have been comedy any more .For women in Hindi films who cheat on their husbands, it’s either tears or death. Whereas ML gets the opportunity to either choose one of them , or the wife /another woman ends her own life (as in Naseeb Apna Apna and many others).

Anyways how they justify such stuff as comedy is beyond me ..

Bold - Maybe bcz it happens in real life including tinsel town - a man ending up with two women and living (un)happily ever after - and vice versa doesn’t happen?

I heard Polygamy among both sexes is common in some countries

There was a Crime Patrol episode about that, set somewhere in India

Not surprisingly it was a tragedy, someone gets murdered

Someone should seriously make a movie on a woman juggling two or more men. When bollywood can make comedy movies on polygamy then why should polyandry be a sin.. Anyway it is just for entertainment right.. Chalega.. Will be a good change.

This movie and song is such a guilty pleasure.. so many Govinda movies are, even though the subject matter is not funny.
