By your logic Salman is an outsider then . He is no star son. Ajay is also an outsider then. Alia is also an outsider . VD also. Arjun also.

Finally someone said it, the ridiculousness going on social media by the social media justice warriors is just pathetic.

These idiots are even claiming Sushant's death was not natural but a murder planned by Salman Khan, KJo, Alia etc. Like are these people delusional, stupid or both? Hello?! Its Salman Khan we're talking about -the biggest superstar in India, & he'll murder another actor who's not even his competition? Such absurdness just makes me mad.

Why didn't people go and watch SSR's Son Chariya which was actually a good movie but so many still watched SOTY2 which was a horrible movie? Why? Because at end of the day people found a horrible movie like SOTY2 more entertaining a good movie like Son Chariya. I mean even now people are not willing to sacrifice their entertainment and say we won't watch Dharma movies instead they want Dharma only to invest as per their likes and dislikes 😆. If change has to come then along with this hate some serious action needs to be taken, sacrifice entertainment don't watch Dharma movies watch an outsider's movie even if its boring.

I am sorry we are mixing up things here. Niche films don't do wonders at the box office . With a star may be earn a bit more. But its tough.

Commercial movies will always find a bigger audience. You can compare a Soty2 with a Kedarnath coz both had commercial packaging.

Good questions 😆

I dont know why twitterattis and many others are protesting in SSR's case against KJo, but from my end, my beef with KJo is mostly revolved around how KJo, over the period through his shitty show KWK, made the bitchiness, ugliness, snide remarks, groupism and insults etc. made regular part of Showbiz. Previously the industry used to have decent talk shows, like SG one, boring, but thoughtful and definitely NOT harmful.

KJo strategically promoted few ideas through this show - Like if you want to be part of gossips, whom to reach out to.... If you want favours, whom to reach out to....the idea of being proud to be bitchy in the name of being 'real'...... promoting rumours out of nothing...... or the idea of who are the 'elite' ones and who are not....... And watching those, like regular audiences, even outsider strugglers DO get impacted..... people do scan themselves only to see how they do not fit to this weird chatty circle if they don't do certain things..... And whoever can get down to their level to feel 'inclusive', they get successful or at least hyped around, (e.g. Sid Malhotra, Karthik, Ayushman now) and whoever does not, are continued to remain a struggler and much less hyped (SSR, RKR, MB)....... KJo has been a Godfather to many, including outsiders, but when it's to a point that if those outsiders feel obligated to remain under his wings, that's not mentorship, that's Mafia-ism.

KJo single-handedly established the idea that whoever is not part of his fake mean 'elite' circle, is considered outsider and given partial treatment. Ok fine, he is the owner/creator of that group and can do whatever he wants, but when you do that to everyone who don't want to be part of your shitty group, that becomes bullying/ganging up. That would be a problem to me.

KJo, in the name of being real, has done enough damage to the Movie industry in last 30 yrs, hope he spares it now.

The truth is that the right producing team and talent does make a huge difference. Look at the quality difference between Raazi and Chhappak by the same director. Both women focused films too.

That's why people are throwing tantrums and wanting Dharma to give chances to their favorites. They think they're going to accomplish that by filling his mentions with hate and bullying him to take someone other than Alia.

Aditya Chopra actually does take outsiders but they're spreading hate for him too. Because he doesn't roll out the red carpet in exactly the way that they want. It's getting more and more absurd.

The only right the audience has is to watch or skip a movie. Just skip Dharma movies. Problem solved.

Couple of things I'd like to state.

Firstly I disagree with you on in that I feel Bollywood big-budget movie makers have accountability towards the audience.

Secondly, audience has all the right to criticize the film-maker if they feel wronged. Yes they shouldn't harass him. But by all means civil criticism is fair game.

But it's because of us, the audience who watch movies, that he earns this huge amount of money.

So we definitely have a say in it.

Bold- Say is once the movie is out. That is don't watch the movie. I mean if he takes an outsider are we all going to sign a guarantee that no matter how the movie is we are going to watch it and ensure its a hit and ensure Dharma faces no loses. No na. Then how can we force him.

He is free to do what he wants with his money and we are free to do what we want with our money.

How was he supposed to save a bad film?

Saying that audience only has two options--to watch or not to watch... sound like something straight out of Hamlet 😆
