I have dealt with depression and schizophrenia (someone very very close to me was diagnosed with it) on a personal level and the only people who came to our rescue were these psychiatrists that he is ridiculing. They know what they are doing and the best thing you can do when you find yourself in these situations is to go to a psychiatrist who is good at his/her job. Don't listen to this know it all good for nothing old man. He is misleading those who can be saved!

Boils my blood that he was the one declaring Sushant a schizophrenic when he has no idea what he is talking about! Poor Sushant! The kind of people he was surrounded by.

As part of an effective approach to treatment, my suggestion is to stand up, call him a liar like you did then TUNE him OFF and not allow his opinion to sabotage you nor make you waste one second of emotion.

I know for a fact that mental illnesses like schizophrenia ruin lives and families. Sometimes people are driven to suicide due to the effect it has on everyone around (not exaggerating by even a percent here), therefore, someone like him who has a reach and tries to portray himself as sort of intellectual just because he can conjure up a few sentences in English, it is important to call him out. We already have a lack of awareness when it comes to mental illness in this country. People hesitate to go to the shrink, or even talk to someone about the issues they are facing. Those with schizophrenia are straight away declared mad or crazy by society because people are not educated about it. Often times, the loved ones resort to superstition or cage the afflicted person because they just do not know the way to deal with the problem, and when a man like Mahesh Bhatt who has been in the public eye for so long spouts bullshit about psychiatrists, there is a possibility that the gullible ones may take him seriously and not seek the proper help that is required. I speak with experience when I say going to a psychiatrist and a therapist helps a great deal. The patient as well as the near and dear ones benefit from this experience provided the doctor they are going to is good and experienced enough.

Mahesh Bhatt is an idiot and a vile vile man who needs to be shamed. Even his own daughter seemed embarrassed in the above video by the stunts he was pulling.

Psychiatry is a science of human mind

Mental illness comes because of lack of certain chemicals in brain and lack of hormones or when person undergoes terrible trauma

So please do not mock that field

Psychiatrist really know what they do, they are not tricking anyone
