A language is a language, medium of communication. To know another language is to open your mind to another culture, another people, another treasure trove of literature.
In the U.S, in Europe, in China, in Latin America, in Africa - knowing a language other than the one you were born into is considered a very good thing.
Only in India/Bollywood have I seen such disdain for knowing a language, that, too, the one you were born into. 😆
And the English these people speak! By God, hardly anyone can string together an intelligible sentence.
Then, they purport to want to work in the HINDI film industry. Now, you don't necessarily need to know the language to act, but these are supposedly peeps who plotted from the womb how to be an actor! You'd think they'd at least take the trouble to learn that one language.😆 Either they're too dumb to or are arrogant enough to believe the audience will buy their crap regardless.
These sophisticated star kids are the jack of all trades and master of none. They don't want to speak Hindi and if you notice, they don't even speak English that well and even if they do, they still speak with an Indian accent which is vilified in the Western countries. Now don't forget India is a country where people like them prioritize speaking English over anything and Indian people usually make fun of Pakistani cricketers because of their inability to speak English but if you compare actors, Pakistani actors hit Indian actors out of the park when it comes to speaking English even those who were born and brought up in Pakistan like Affan Waheed, Bilal Ashraf, Ali Rehman Khan etc and I'm not even talking about guys like Fawad Khan and Ahad Raza Mir because everyone knows that they can speak English far better than most star kids of Bollywood.
Well that being said, it doesn't mean that every actor in both countries speak good English especially if you compare actors like Javed Sheikh and Pankaj, Nawazuddin, Manoj but at least they are really good at acting which could lead them to get Hollywood gigs.

I can tell you from 1st hand experience Indian accent is vilified mostly by other Indian people. Yes, people do ask you to repeat yourself if they don't understand. but what's wrong with that? Esp in a country like the U.S. where you have the Italian accent, the Polish accent, the Chinese accent, the Latino accent, the Indian accent, etc. etc.😆
Plus, India has the largest number of English speakers in the world. So yeah, Indian-English is its own thing now.
My point was that knowing another language is a good thing even if you primarily speak English! These BW-ers act as though not knowing Hindi makes them special. No! It makes them dumb or arrogant or both.

I know the fob accents are not liked in countries like US, UK etc but the star kids think that speaking only in English would result in them getting adulation from western countries which imo is a colonial mindset.

Actually he's a mix of Arjun and Ranbir. The Daddy Kapoor looks like Boney and Arjun was fat in his childhood.
Similarly, "Johari Bhai" is a mix of Karan Johar and Salman Khan.

Some people don’t care. They just wanna act cause they like being character. Acting just to be famous isn’t everyone’s goal.
You need to be popular to get roles. Now-days social media popularity actually affects an actors career.

And outsiders hailing from regular middle class families or even lower middle class families will get that kind of money from where??
If you are planning to enter Bollywood as a lead, its your headache to invest and arrange money for PR and lifestyle. This is the initial investment they have to do it. Actors need visibility to become stars.
They can beg, borrow or steal.
