OK I dont think anyones being gaslighted. I mean there's real stories every day of husbands gas lighting wives into mental hospitals so they can get custody of the kids. For anyone to think the audience being manipulated (even tho this is not giving the audience any credit) is equivalent to some crime is ridiculous😆

Is watching the movie a necessity that you had NO OPTION but to watch??? 😕 If you don't like Tiger Shroff, don't watch his movies. If enough people stop watching his movies, producers will stop taking him. I hate Tiger but unfortunately he seems to have an audience who throng to watch his movies. As long as his movies work, he will keep getting work. Nothing we can do about it.

@Blue Sid Malhotra, Kangana, Kriti Sanon, Ayushman, Karthik, Bhumee, Tapsee, Vaani, Deepika, Kiara, Disha Pathani, Jacqueline, Kriti Kharbanda, Anushka Sharma, Rajkumar Rao, are all still around and getting lead roles in spite of multiple failures.

So i watched Super 30 ( for Hrithik) but loved Mrunal and want to see more of her. I watched Chhichhore (for Sushant) but loved Naveen Polishetty , Tahir and want to see more of them.

I watched Bala online and thought Yami was brilliant and i watched LAK2 online and thought Sara has become such a horrible actor.

However reality is Sara is in 2 big commercial entertainers with meaty roles and Yami, Mrunal are only given flower pot roles.

A floppy Abhishek is toplining a well promoted web series but good actors like Tahir, Naveen wont even get that one chance also to lead one web series forget films.

So where is the audience acceptance or rejection really working per se ?

At least in other industries, you can enter those industries if you have the right qualifications, training, experience. If you prove that you have the prerequisites, you can get opportunities. But in bollywood, you don't have to prove anything to land yourself in a movie if you are a star kid, you don't need any sort of achievement or talent to your name, you'll be promoted like you're the next big superstar. Nepotism breeds mediocrity, this is why there are so many star kids who can't act to save their lives.

I agree......but then BW has become a family business....its Mom and Pop run business.....agar change lana hai...toh it should be at the right place......The Govt should take over BW as well....have the basic guide lines....makes rules for the play....ye sab karne se nepotism kam hoga.....what is the use of going after KJo and Alia.....you will shoo them out and 10 years ke baad there will be 10 more KJos and 20 more Alias....running the show.....my point is if u want to change something ....u have to do it the right way.....

coming to superstar's kids being promoted like a superstar...but do they become superstars because of the promotion?? Sonam, Abhishek, Tushar, Uday, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol , Ranbir Kapoor's cousin, Pariniti....all these nepo kids...ban gaye superstar? 😆 Superstar toh audience banati hai...promotion nahi...Salman launched Suraj, aayush and shetty.....how many superstars are there? Not even Salman's own 2 brothers...

rahi mediocrity ki baat.....that is in the minds of people.....will u call Salman Khan who does 300 cr movies ...a mediocre star? yes he can't act...but his power to bring the audience to the theaters is excellent..his producers earn crores......mediocrity depends on the job u are supposed to do...let us not forget that BW has an audience for all kinds of movies.....depends on what ur taste is....for people who like Salman and Tiger...they excel in their skill while Raj Kumar Rao and Nawazuddin will fall falt on their face for such audience....so let us not have that much superiority complex and start judging people for what they like...My treasure might be ur trash and vice versa....

And I also don't understand...that we are talking about some star kid being launched by his Dad...if that is fair or unfair...and people start bringing ki I would like to live in Saudi Arabia....next what are we going to discuss... rape?....

LOL I'm starting to wonder since when Bollywood started being recognized as an "industry".😆 Currently, it looks like nothing more than one big family mega movie business with cousins, brothers and sisters as the head honchos of big banners who celebrate each other and clap each others backs openly while looking down on the rest. And we're supposed to what? Keep mum and let others enjoy?

Sometimes they get bored and decide to bring in an unwitting outsider who will be indebted to them for the rest of their lives, because the power trip is "fun" for them. Comparing this pseudo-industry to other corporate industries is simply a false analogy for that reason too.

Shouldn't have brought Salman to the discussion ... 😆 But tell me if it's not a disgrace what they have managed to pull off in the name of creating cinema? The rotten sham that b'wood is from rigged awards to fake news, it's a shame that this filthy farce is being normalized with false analogies. The rest of the world isn't funded by underworld mafia or connections, they are called "terrorists" in normal life. And the political influence, criminal cartels, and unholy nexus of people like Salman etc who even manage to evade the law and justice--all of it with complete disregard for human lives, intrinsic talent and skills--all of that only happens in bollywood. It's simply unpalatable for a lot of people.

But I agree with you that the system needs to be challenged differently .... people need to vent right now and the poster child and biggest beneficiaries of this corrupt system are getting attacked for that reason.

While speculation is fair we cant confirm 100 % what type of role she has till we watch it. I mean I was told Anushka in PK is a revelation. (I think she herself even said that) But watching that film and like 60 % of her role was just sitting listening to PK talk 😆😆
