Taapsee's Highest Grosser is at 192 Cr with 95 Cr Budget.

KALANK is 1 project which got MULTI STARCAST, it's budget was supposed to go HIGH, we have Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, ARK & Alia, why pointing that film's budget only for ALIA??

I'm not punishing Karan. He can do whatever he wants. I'm just saying Alia and Tapsee are not starting off at the same spot. Alia has way more help. So the comparison is not fair. Tapsee starts off with a handicap and Alia has many advantages over her. But that's life. Some people will always have it easier.

As for Kalank, people get mad about that movie because the biggest role was Alia's. It was like that entire film was created for her. They even brought on big stars like Madhuri Dixit and reduced them to nothing. If that film worked, it would have only helped Alia and nobody else. When it flopped, someone (cough) started spreading articles that "Madhuri Dixit's Kalank is a disaster." There were so many weird articles like that. Alia doesn't even have to face up to her flops because an atmosphere is created that it's somebody else's flop.

I don't have any big issue with her and I like watching her films but it can't be denied that she has so many advantages over other actresses. She's got every privilege helping her.

No one is trying to "punish" KJo for doing his "job" well. KJo's problems are endless, so let's no go there. But I'm glad you accepted that the hype he creates have a huge part to play in these movies' success and not because these nepotism products are actually "talented." It's important to notice that almost all her movies are from Dharma productions and whatever else she has secured have been from KJo's recommendations as well.

Creating HYPE won't get you SUCCESS, Audience don't make Stars just coz they are HYPED, a well HYPED Film can have 1st day good opening to big opening, nowadays we have just 4-5 shows & ppl start spreading reviews, by evening we get to know in all if it is good enough to watch it on weekend or not. Kjo's HYPE can bring Opening FEW shows Tickets, not whole Week by Week Tickets.

You can't judge/predict any Film's SCRIPT as BEST SCRIPT before it is made & released on the big screen, this no one knows BEFORE, so now trashing her success saying they were BEST SCRIPTS doesn't make sense.

Read my comment again, clearly I have stated that 'mostly' she has gotten best scripts.🤪 By 'mostly' it clearly indicated most of the time, not all the time. Shandaar and Kalank were exceptions, rest of her films were success. And 'Best script' part is also a sarcasm, truth is that Aloo always got movies on platter.

You're, again, not looking at the big picture I'm trying to convey here. The hype around Alia makes her a familiar face in everyone's mind, and KJo is influential enough to get all the good movies lined up for her. Literally all of bollywood has ended up contributing to her success directly or indirectly. By way of elimination process, her "talent" and "skills" are the last things to credit for her success.

Has she done well with her opportunities, yes but don’t justify her getting films due to audience acceptance. It never started out that way. Her entry was forceful, her first two films. No one cared if she made a second film or not. I would have written her off on a heart beat after soty. What’s worse than a average looking girl trying to look hot. She was misfit there too.

You can't necessarily determine the box office but pretty sure Karan Johar can decide if its a good script/content or not? I mean even I can bet that a Rajkumar Hirani movie will be better content wise than a Ram Gopal Verma movie. Also, the branding of a movie makes a big difference too.

My point is that Alia Bhatt hasn't made a bad movie a hit yet. I don't see any films on her list where you scratch you head wondering how they became a hit. All her hit movies were great content and her bad content movies were unsuccessful.

She might be getting films on the platter but not Success, she has earned it on her hard work.

Then what stopped karan to hype 'drive' or was it deliberately pathetically made coz his blue eyed kids weren't part of it.
