There have been star kids who have failed too. No one is denying that. But it has taken an entire village to craft Alia's career and she still is very below-average in movies. Nepotism and consistent PR work like talk shows and constant interviews and photoshoots have a big hand to play in turning her into a "familiar" face in people's minds. When someone is seen everywhere all the time, audience will naturally be inclined to watch their movies.

It's just recently after Sushant's death that people realized the price other actors are paying for the success of these products of nepotism.

Good Content= love

If you are presented with an actress to death And your only option is to watch or hear about her-then you have no option but to “love” her

The audience does not love her. They will watch her films if they are clicking with what content they want. The minute her opportunities stop, the audience won’t love her. Just like they don’t love her now after sushants death. The audiences love is only conditional never unconditional.
just because your films do well, doesn’t make you the most loved. At the of the day, Alia will never be respected in the way a taapsee or Priyanka is. 10 years from now, this will be even more prevalent as more self made actors will have gotten their due through natural progression.

also should probably rephrase nepotism, to snatching, lobbying, cronyism, etc. if kjo was doing stuff for her. She’s an adult who is also responsible for her actions and choices.

The difference between say.. a Tapsee movie and an Alia movie is that someone like KJo knows how to create a lot of hype around what he produces. Alia also gets very big budget movies that everyone checks out even if they're not particularly interested in the actors. Kalank was a dream project for him and made on a massive scale. Tapsee has to stick to low budget films with small publicity budgets. Nobody would give her a movie like Kalank.

Kalank flopped because it was bad but because of the big scale, it still got a good opening. Lots of people were fooled into at least checking it out. The hype machine is always on her side which girls like Bhumi and Tapsee will never get. They are at a problematic age too. Too young for the Khans (or else they could have used that to reach fame) and too old to get those young bubblegum movies like Student of the Year.

He was after rockstar and I never knew highway didn't work. But Still she got dharma . Even if she's run out of roles, they'll always fetch good roles for her. I've always wondered who are those people who watch badrinath ki dulhania.

Why Punish Karan if he knows his JOB well? He makes films, he invest in them, promotes them, what he is doing is anyone would do if they invest money in something, how is it Karan's fault if he can generate HYPE for Alia Bhatt's films?

Taapsee has worked in 13 films, who stopped those producers to HYPE her films? Did Karan Stop? Ask her producers why her films are not HYPED, this ain't Karan's fault.

Alia's Highest Grosser is Gully Boy at 134 Cr with Budget of 84 Cr.

Taapsee's Highest Grosser is at 192 Cr with 95 Cr Budget.

KALANK is 1 project which got MULTI STARCAST, it's budget was supposed to go HIGH, we have Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, ARK & Alia, why pointing that film's budget only for ALIA??

Even I wonder how can Imtiaz Ali gets big stars or even new stars all the time despite giving Big Disaster films, ppl literally sleep off on those films.
