Tapsee and Alia can't be compared because they didn't start off at the same age in bollywood. Plus big banners don't sign Tapsee because, well, they are busy buttering things up for Alia. There's also a gap and a level of maturity their roles portray in movies. So Tapsee doesn't pass off as a true "competitor."

Give me one good actress of the same age range as Alia, whose career has been moving parallel to hers.

Why are you trying to bring down Tapsee to help Alia? That's not the right way to go about this. Tapsee gets lesser opportunities and less chances to work on bigger films because she doesn't have built-in connections like Alia does. She is still doing good when you take that into account.

I don't hate Alia either. Nobody turns out opportunities that are handed to them. She's taken them and done a really good job with most of the movies she's gotten.

The only huge mistake on Alia's part was Kalank. She was not suited for that role and both Alia and Karan Johar should have understood that from the beginning.

What kind of EXCUSE is this? I showed you how a Complete OUTSIDER getting more films than her if BIG BANNER can guarantee this kind of Success, then we would be having all STAR KIDS as Hero / Heroine.

12 films in 7 years is no big number. Deepika did 16, Bebo did 24, pc has done over 30 films. No one remeber them because they were flops and everyone is jealous because Alia is high on success with just 2 flops.

Why would people who dislike watching Alia plastered everywhere be "jealous" of her? I resent watching her in movies that could have been watchable with better actresses. Makes no sense to chalk that up to jealousy.

No one notices other actresses who are far more talented because there is an active gang dedicated to drowning them out with relentless promotion of all things Alia, be it through interviews or talk shows or pointless articles.

Obviously she will be a success if people associate her with good content movies. I look forward to her movies because I know Karan gives her scripts that he thinks will be successful, hence I know most likely it will be a good movie, like not just a good story movie but best production values.

I really loved her (onscreen) until Kalank, because that's when I realized that she cannot add anything to a movie unless it has a good script. In fact, her acting was quite dull and pulled down the movie for me. Like when you watch Salman Katrina SRK movies, they're so bad that you wonder how the movies became a hit; its because they can make even bad movies successful and add an invaluable star quality.

That's true. Tapsee gets a lot of movies. All the debut actresses in the past got a lot of movies in the first few years too. But people are obsessed with Alia because she gets all the good and big ones. Her movies are remembered, even the flop ones, while people don't even know half the movies other actresses appeared in.

The fact here is that Kjo has suggested all the directors about Alia and they had to cast her as the lead instead of those other actors who were being considered for those roles. Alia never really had to give real auditions to get those roles. Hence it was never the audience who made her no. 1, coz they went to the theatres for the sake of the movies as she mostly managed to get the best scripts, and her movies were heavily promoted as well, that was another plus point for her. So don't make audience responsible for this, rather point out finger towards the dirty politics that people like Kjo always do.

So the Audience is STUPID, they buy her film's tickets not coz of her, but as they wanted to see the film? What is this BEST SCRIPTS tagging? If that is the case, then how come Shandaar & Kalank flop at Box Office, weren't they BEST SCRIPTS?

You can't judge/predict any Film's SCRIPT as BEST SCRIPT before it is made & released on the big screen, this no one knows BEFORE, so now trashing her success saying they were BEST SCRIPTS doesn't make sense.

Before the FILM is made, no one can know if it will be Good Content or Bad Content, Audience Decides it on Friday when Film Releases. Karan isn't any astrologer to predict that this will be hit or good content.

Honestly, i want to ask who is this audience that watches movies like 'badrinath ki dulhania ' but not a film like 'naam shabaana' or 'thappad' or even 'highway'. Alia and sara both got their movies with big directors in the starting of their career. Both did their 2nd film with Imitiaz. It takes several years dor outsiders to get there that too when there's fair play.

People here say Karan bought every good script for her ?? Are there only 12 good scripts in 7 years ? Why doesn't others "good" script movies work then ?🤔
