It's been over 3 days & I have still not come out of this shock, like many others....so I felt like expressing it here.
Even though I did not follow Sushant's career, coming across Sushant Singh Rajput's interviews, he was not only a talented actor, he was also intelligent & very well spoken, with a charming smile always, his interviews were inspiring. Bollywood has lost a true inspiration, who could have gone further. He always believed in fair opportunities, as he did not have a problem with nepotism, as long as outsiders get a chance too.
It's like his life is flashing right before my eyes. Even a glimpse shows what a true talent he was. Bollywood can feel like a very tough, toxic & lonely industry in terms of getting work, & getting rejected, especially if you're an outsider. When nepotism rules the industry that's what it must have felt like for outsiders like for Sushant SIngh Rajput. I wish outsiders would get as much support as possible, but sadly they do not get it, they do not get the chance to succeed. It's a shame & heartbreaking that we have lost a handsome, young actor who had his whole life ahead of him & had potential to continue to be successful. It's heartbreaking to discover & realize what he went through. Losing projects & feeling isolated, blind items, mocking & bullying, what a cruel industry Bollywood is.
I always used to wish my favs from television would break into Bollywood & make it big, but did not realize how tough it could be & what it could feel like if you're an outsider, trying to reach to the top, or compete at the top. Of course everyone reacts differently. I now feel television at least appreciates your talent & gives outsiders opportunities, unlike Bollywood. It's not the same league, but at least you're appreciated. Sushant could have chosen a different career, but he just followed his dreams. I hope those who made him suffer, suffer the consequences.
Blind items & gross chat shows like Koffee With Karan should be banned, as all they do is mock others for their own entertainment. Celebrities ranking others on a chat show that is aired on TV is not right, the whole world is watching & obviously the ones who you're offending. Why should celebs judge others, that too in a negative way? Leave that to the audience & critics. A person's work should speak for themselves. Blind Items have a negative impact on others too, especially if you are spreading lies & rumours.
Sushant Singh Rajput, I wish you hung on & carried on fighting. You did not deserve to be pushed out. You could not fulfill your dreams because they were taken away from you.
Rest In Peace Sushant Singh Rajput. You deserved better.
