No. Arjuna didn't feel the pain in text. When he and Krishna returned to Kurukshetra, Arjuna saw the silence and couldn't spot Abhimanyu and started getting worried something happened.

Karna would rebel, He was senior and a better warrior, I remember reading a para where Dury was asking both of them to fight together after announcing Karna as CIC, Karna wouldn't have followed Ass' orders

Now what if Karna had agreed to follow Ass' orders?
