One of my friends was diagnosed with it a year back (She's better now). Plus my college had seen two students dying of suicide previously. It was a huge deal here. The lockdown isn't helping either.
My college's Dean conducted a lecture on mental health today and I feel a lot better now. Your and Lavy's posts helped plenty too.
It's really difficult when it happens to someone your age and you've seen them around a lot. An classmate of mine from high school passed away by suicide a couple days before her college graduation. I wasn't close friends with her but I remembered her as a very sweet person. She used to write articles that I would read so it was very shocking. The sad thing is that so many times someone looks perfectly happy from the outside and we are unaware of their inner turmoil. Sometimes, a lot of people even ask for help but we miss or ignore the signs.
