Many don't want these wanna be BW Mafia to face the heat. Kyu bhai?! Tomorrow you'll say a terrorist doesn't deserve the backlash either, what if he commits suicide! đŸ€Ș Culprits have to face the consequences of their actions one way or other.

Many not speaking against the obvious issues and keeping mum are also part of the problem. There have been many revolutions and changes that took place over that "one death" which made the difference. So who knows. I am not losing my hope that things will go back as they were!

I'll walk along thinking Sushant's death is that trigger which may make a difference for many like him in future!

Ofc I don't agree with tagging anyone a murderer without evidence, but blindsiding the obvious nepotism, cronyism, elitists insiders and their bullying isn't my cup of tea nor do I think others should try to suppress those who are willing to take a stand!

😆

Cause the conspiracy theories are running rampant as well. Lots of murder talk still happening

What is harmful is suppressing a discourse just because it makes someone uncomfortable/uneasy.

What is harmful is perpetuating the myth that depression exists in isolation, without trigger points.

What is harmful is to proclaim that the only ‘debate’ to be had is on depression.

You don’t ‘debate’ whether nepotism is ‘that serious’ or other stupid points.

No harm.. The harm is blaming the death of someone on a selected group of people without concrete group.. Was Sushant made to feel left out? Yes.. Did that trigger his depression and cause him to take his life? We don't know.. Its excellent to talk about nepotism.. One should talk about whatever they feel is wrong.. But blaming the death or suicide on someone is a huge thing and should not be done without concrete proof..

Those are just isolated voices. The majority KNOW and ACCEPT it is suicide. Bot suicide is a complex phenomenon. If we really want to take it seriously, we have to consider all possible trigger-points. Especially when we have evidence that the guy was feeling low because of a bunch of elitists ganging up against him, not inviting him to their parties etc.

Even if we block out all the tumultuous and tempestuous voices on Twitter, the overwhelming feeling is that people do understand that depression is a serious issue. But that depression can be traced back to certain concrete factors. We are analyzing that nepotism is one of them.

There is no harm. People talk about nepotism all the time. But when u link this to his depression and cause of death than its wrong. We are neither his doctor who was treating him nor the police officer who is investigating the case. People pretending that they have figured out depression and what causes it are simply being ignorant about the issue and spreading misinformation. So thats where the problem lies. Nobody knows what causes his depression except for his doctor. Until his doctor says he was affected by nepotism linking the both is pushing ur own agenda and projecting ur own beliefs on this incident not the truth like how people are presenting it to be. That itself fails the purpose of the mental health awareness.

This is what makes me uncomfortable. People don't see this as a disease even now. For every disease u will go to a doctor to figure it out. Its only depression where people sitting on social media figures the cause sooner and better than a certified doctor.

Word to your post. Very well written.

I too hope his death will somehow not be forgotten after the initial shock wave and anger subsides. Nepotism has proven to be a bigger evil than I had anticipated.

I get your point, you are saying that linking depression to nepotism is not the right approach, without proper analysis and proof.

But reports do suggest that his depression was triggered by professional reasons only. You can Google on the same. However, we may never know the absolute truth.

@TM you forgot the word quickly cause mental health/depresssion was only mentioned but the debate is Bollywood/nepotism cause who cares about the rest. Everywhere People talk rather what Bollywood did to SSR rather than talking about SSR and his Films
