But reports do suggest that his depression was triggered by professional reasons only. You can Google on the same. However, we may never know the absolute truth.

Those reports are all speculations not a statement by his doctor . Like u said since we don't know the absolute truth and may never know, spreading speculations as facts is as good as spreading misinformation in this case.

Mediocrity.. dumbness with age has become so common, so celebrated that an Alia Bhatt becomes a star after stating PrithviRaj Chauhan as the President of India and a Sushant Singh Rajput becomes a weirdo of sorts if he tries to relate Science and faith and uses it to motivate people. The standard of Intelligence and to understand it has been degrading. Shahrukh was called the most well read celebrity , but this man was way beyond him... He just did not have good articulation skills, could not explain everything he thought, so much was going inside him. He has become a bit more anxious as he grew up,changed industries knew more than the contemporaries and got mocked for his intelligence..

I know this feeling..I have a close one..who wants to make intelligent conversations every time ..there is a meetup... Every time there is a party. Some "friends" make fun..some try to understand..and some pretend(which he knows) , so he just has his own struggle of not being able to hold up and interesting conversation.. So there again..I asked him once.. what do you do in your free time.. and he said..read.. and i asked what for fun.. and he said that's my fun.. he believes that a hobby should always be a skill..

So these people will struggle if they hear the mock all the time. I am happy we cannot always see what others are talking about us in the name of a fun show or a rapid fire round. I always respect Simi for her grace in the way she carried interviews.. Now is the age of mocking/demeaning someone..for sex appeal.. accent.. anything that might not be there in a small town girl/guy who might not have come from a well groomed family since they were kids..

Kjo and group might not be the reason for his death... but they contributed to his depression. his anxiety. The way they used to react on his name being called up in the talk shows.. Kareena's mentioning the first hero thing and reacting in a a "chii yuck" manner and the other guy clapping on as if she cracked some Olympiad .. I mean I dont know if I would be able to take all that if i see all that in front of me.... Ayushman and Kartik , I am not sure had to go through so much of hatred. Salman has an attitude of god knows what.

He was not this person during his TV days.. he was high on energy and jumping from one person to other...Just like his PR aai said..he wold always sit with her to talk. Ankita might be moody but he would sit and talk .demand things.. That person becoming this one is such a surprise... I look at his pics..and I dont see him dead.. This is plain sad..

THIS indeed!

Doesn't take rocket science to put 2 and 2 together unless you deliberately want to turn a blind eye to the glaring obvious!

Thing is, if you say nepotism is the reason Sushant did not get his due as an actor or his career did not fly as per expectations, I would agree whole heartedly with you... I will blame the industry for not giving him his due

But if you say that nepotism is the reason Sushant was depressed and took his life, I would always consider it wrong unless there is a valid proof..

People sometimes overcome the worst of problems in their lives and yet end up being in depression and committing suicide for something that might appear trivial to us all.. Depression is a disease and it is not always straightforward to pinpoint the cause of it.. Do you think Sushant would have not been depressed had he been flying high with regards to his career? You just can't say

So ya.. While I agree that Sushant's career suffered due to nepotism, I will not agree that that was the reason behind his depression neither will I consider it right to blame a selected group of people for his depression unless his doctor comes out to say it or if there is a note, no matter how big of a namoona I am considered..

I’ve got no medical grounds to vouch for it and depression can be triggered due to many reasons.

Having followed him not religiously but enough to know about him, the guy seemed to have been a loner since his mom’s passing away. He mentioned this in many interviews.

His depression could have stemmed from then and he fought hard. He achieved so much and he was a success at everything he did. From studies to TV to movies he actually was doing everything with brilliance. And then after such amazing work to not be recognised and accepted it can trigger negative thoughts.

The reason all are angry about nepotism is because it came from his own mouth. His appeal to watch his movie, no godfather, agenda, leftover all his own words.

Once again this might not be the whole reason but surely it is one of the reason to be depressed. I mean I would if after all the hard work my effort isn’t recognised but instead I’m mocked for where I come from and looked down.

Well i remember him doing so much hard work for MS Dhoni.. so much that i havent seen anyone doing for a bio pic. But at the end all you say ..specially the industry people that it was all about MS Dhoni and not Sushant.

AGain we have Ranbir doing a biopic on Sanju and atleast the industry people gave it to him and his hard work. Forget about awards, offering movies... these outsiders are not even praised.. Wait for Gunjan Saxena.. people have already started sharing the teaser.. But just wait for the praise she is going to get form the industry,... And agree or not this gang is growing..building up.. because at the end actors.. who want to ends up as lead stars.. have to be accepted by the biggies...

Just take for and example... a person A has been given a responsibility of a very huge and known project at office, he/she works for months..day and night for the project.. and also the project is a success after delivery.. ALl you say.. the project he work on has a name.. it had to be delivered anyway..Clients will take it just on the name the project has.. Forget about congratulating.. or awarding the employee of the mont/year.

Now there is B who has been given a project.. does equal wonder..and also is a relative of the MD. And the employee talk about it all the time..the hardwork even before the project is delivered...and ofcourse he/she will be awarded also..

Do we realize as co-employees also what it might do to the mental health of employee A. You need to be praised to feel motivated...atleast sometimes..

For Sushant I do feel... he was too talented in a lot of things.. and that messed him up also.. because it was not giving him the desired result...his expectations from himself was not seen .. In one part of his brain..he was failing himself.. Happens with overqualified engineers as well.. And then you see on TV on social media how you are being mocked at being cringed at. Even a small rumor about ourself might make us grumpy and disturbed.. This guys constantly heard himself being called a womanizer..for a failed relationship..which gradually being promoted to being a metoo assailant apart from being demanding arrogant and what not . And while getting treated for depression, being rejected for films that too after getting a huge success. Rejection is fine when you are not doing well but what about when you are doing well. And in that just one weak moment and you do something that it cant be undone.. but you are too weak to understand.. thats what depression it..

Depression might have started from the time he lost his mother... later/before we dont know.. It takes time to diagnose depression..sometimes years.. But these events did trigger him.. I am sure the industry insiders would have had a clue about it.. they just left it like that .. thinking it might not lead to this.. but this did not stop the blinds.. Thats what is the problem is.. ANd you see these biggies giving lectures about depression.. The way they handle a colleagues depression.. is no way any disease should be handled..
