Part 5
Ishita got up to go when Raman said " umm miss ishita ,are you bit free. Can we have a cup of tea together ,you know to know eachother bit better ."
Ishita nodded and both went out of yhe hospital. Raman walked to his car while ishita followed him ,he settled in his car and opened the passenger door for ishita . She thought to say something then sat in the car ,Raman told her buckle the seatbelt and ignited the car . After a drive of ten minutes they stopped in front of starbucks. Raman opened the door and was going out of the car when ishita said " are we having coffee here ."
R- yeah any problem ?
I- no ,I was just saying ,the prices if coffee is so high here . Why to waste money ,can't we go somewhere which is normal.
R- you don't worry about that ,I can afford that .
Saying so he went out while ishira spoke
" humm paisa hai thats why you are buying a baby instead of giving birth ."
Raman opened the door fpr her and saw her murmuring something but he couldn't listen ,so he asked " did you say something".
I- naah ,chaliye .
Saying so she followed him ,they entered and a waiter took them to a table . Both settled on the table and he ordered vanilla latte for himself and asked ishita's choice, as she was not so familiar with the varieties of coffee so she ordered same as him.After the waiter left Raman looked at ishita and said "so tell me something about yourself ishita ."
I- what should I say ,you already know about me .
R- not that much ,I wanna know everything like how old are you ,where is your father , your education and all.
I- I m 22yrs old ,my father was a normal businessman, he died last year due to cancer ,I had a elder sister who is already married. We were living good ,till my appa got sick,we were not left with much money after he died but we were managing . But then amma got sick , she needs bypass surgery to live and I don't have that much money . Thats all of me .
R- and your education.
I- I wanted to be a lecturer so I had completed my masters and is doing my Ph.D .
R- any work .
I- yeah I m doing a job of junior editor in a publishing firm .
R- ohh , I m afraid you cannot continue your job anymore ,you know you will not be living here so ...
I- waise bhi I couldn't continue .
R(bit confused)- why ?
I- I had quit the job .
R- but just now you told that you are working .
I- actually I forget , I was working till morning but had to leave the job in afternoon itself .
R- can I ask why ?
Ishita thought for a while that weather she should tell the actual reason or not then thought that she should tell as she don't want to give him a reason to think of herself as a gold digger. May be ge can think that the she had quit because he is going to pay her ,thinking a lot of negative and positive she said " actually I had asked loan from my manager but he wanted ... you know..... he told me to be with him ..thats why....
Her eyes got teary ,realising how helpless she is . She closed her eyes to hold the tears but they stubbornly flow from her eyes ,she wiped her tears while Raman said " I m sorry that you have to go through that ."
I- why are you saying sorry when itsnot your fault? Rather you are helping me .
R- it seems that I too is taking advantage of your situation .
I- but you are not forcing me na ,its my own will . You didn't come to me ,it was me who approached you .
R-By the way can you tell me the name of your publishing house and that manager.
I- why ?
R- nothing just want to know thst man ,who tries to take advantage girls .
I- aap kya karenge ?
R- will just make him loose his job .
I- how ,aap to jaante bhi nahi unko .
R- there is nothing in this city which Raman bhalla cannot do .
Ishita smiled seeing him his attitude and got a bit happy that she is going to be mother of his child thats when she recalled that she too need to question him something as she had got enough information of his business,property, money and skills in google but there was no personal information so ishita asked " can I ask you something?"
R- go on .
I- why are you getting a baby medically ,l mean you can marry .
R- I ma widower and don't want to marry again but I want a baby thats why .
They were talking like this when the waiter arrived with their order . While drinking coffee Raman inforned ishita that she is only allowed to live with her mother till she concieve. She has to go with him after she get pregnant , he won't be living with her but she will be living with the helps and a Nurse to take care of her . Ishita can tell her mother that she is doing job and posted out of the city . She can talk to her mother but can't meet her . Ishita agreed with everything but said that he has to meet her mother for once eother she won't let her go . Raman agreed for it . They talked some more over the same topic and worked on every point to avoid any confusion. Ishita again said that she needs the money urgently ,he transferred the money to her account in front of her only . Ishita's got surprised seeing him transferring somuch money in an instant . She was still thinking when he called the doctor and informed that he want to precedure to be done tomorrow.
The doctor agreed and told him to come tomorrow. He thanked the doctor and hing the call then looked at ishita and asked " I hope you don't have any problem now ."
She shook her head negatively and said
" No ,If you had fulfilled my condition how can I back off and also it will be good if the process happens tomorrow as I will be free for when my mother's surgery happens. "
Finally after talking over every point Raman dropped ishita to the hospital and left . Ishita directly went to her mother's doctor and told him quickens the process of operation as she got the money . The doctor nodded and told her that they will perform the surgery asap . After that she went to check her mother for once more than went to her house . Though she was not happy but satisfied that she is able to manage the money .
Next day ishra met again in the hospital , the doctor took Raman's sample and performs the procedure. She gave her best wishes to ishra to concieve the baby and both left the room . Before parting Raman reminded ishita to be careful and take care of herself nicely . She nodded and went to her mother's room . Next day her mother's surgery too was done and within a three days she got her conscious. Raman use to meet ishita daily to check how she is doing, he had also apponited a full time nurse for her mother so that ishita don't have to do stress herself .
It was a week after Amma's operation and she was recovering fast . It was morning and ishita was feeding breakfast to her amma when she said" Ishu kanna ,I m so sorry to burden you somuch ."
I- amma what are you saying ?
A- you are so young and I instead of giving you a nice life ,had burdened you because of my disease. How much it had cost ?
I- you need not to know that ? Aap bas aaraam karo aur jaldi jaldi theek ho jaao.
A- that I m doing but still I wanna know , how did you managed everything . Hamare paas to itne paise nahi the ,then how did you...
I- yeah you are right ,we didn't had money and I was so sad and depressed about that . Thats when I met Mr bhalla ,he heard my problem and agreed to help me. He gave me a nice job and loan too but ..
A- but what kanna ..
I- but I have to go out of Delhi for the job .
A- where ?
I-I don't know now ,because he has told me to live with you till you are in hospital ,then he will provide a full time caretaker for you and I can go for job.
Amma got silent ,ishita noticed this and asked " kya hua amma ,what are you thinking."
A- what kind of job is it and who is the man who suddenly met you and give somuch money to you .
I- you don't stress yourself for that . I had told him that I can't go anywhere withoit your permission and he had agreed to meet you.
Amma got bit relieved listening to this but wanted to be assure after meeting Raman while ishita was feeling guilty for lying to her mother . After feeding amma ,she went out of talked to Raman about everything . He can sense nervousness in her voice and said " ishita doctor has told you not to take any stress, so stop worrying . I got this ,I will convince your mother you don't worry ".
I- aap kar loge na ,she can be dectective sometimes.
Raman smiled and said " you take a deep breath and relax ,I will come and meet her in afternoon. Ok bye ,I m in a meeting , will meet you afterwords .
Saying so he hung the call while ishita smiled noticing his concern towards her .
