Why no mythological and god movies in Bollywood?

Why don't bollywood make mythological / God movies?

In South, they make such good movies on this subject.

Esp seeing the popularity of Ramayan and Mahabharat, I think they need to do movies on it.

We have such fascinating stories to be told.

No one in bollywood is qualified enough to make one. Kachra kar denge.

Mythology and God ,Religion are sensitive topics especially in India. They can't show anything just like that,that need proper research, they are likely to create controversies. Plus, they need really good actors to portray the roles. It requires high budget too. And already different versions are there on TV. So, they might not be interested or they don't want to take risk.

They will ruin it if Bollywood makes mythological movies

It would require a very high budget and if its bad the losses would be huge . So you have to basically take a risk

What can you expect from a country where retelecasting such shows caused a controversy..

I heard Jay Shantoshi Maa was Successful at Box Office

brahmastra is based on mythology.lets hope it turns out to be good despite so many controversies .

Honestly I would love to see a good mythological movie something as grand and equally entertaining as Bahubali.

Because it requires talent....
