04. ʜɪꜱ ʀᴜᴅᴇɴᴇꜱꜱ..!!!

Raman was pacing restlessly in his room as Ishita's thoughts were haunting him. He looked at the clock every now and then and thinking that did she left the office or not..!! "God knows, what's she doing..? God, Raman.. Why did you ask her to stay at office. She could have finish the work tomorrow, it wasn't so important." He cursed himself.

Without wasting time anymore, he called at his office, "Sharma jee.. Did Ishita.. I mean Miss. Iyer left?" He asked to the guard.

"No, sir.. She's still inside." He replied.

"God this girl.." He murmured scratching his forehead frustrated.

"Did you say something?" The guard asked.

"No." He was quickly hang up the call and grabbing the car keys he left.

Raman was waited for her outside the office, he saw her coming out but as he was standing aside, she couldn't see him. Ishita went to bring her scooty but unfortunately, it wasn't starting, she tried many times but didn't work. "Ishu.. It's a bad day for you." Taking her hand bag, she walked out from the campus and waited for an auto.

It was much difficult to get an auto at night when finally an auto agreed to go..!! She quickly gets inside.. Taking his car, Raman followed her from a distance.

Raman saw the auto taking wrong route, "Where's she going?" He wondered and speed up his car.

Meanwhile turning in the wrong route, made Ishita worried. "Bhaiya, where are you going?"

"Madam ji.. This is shortcut." He replied.

Though Ishita wasn't convinced with his reply, she said, "Bhaiya, I haven't hurry to go.. You please turn the auto."

"Madam ji, don't worry. I'll take you safely." Saying this, he speed up the auto and took her to a deserted place, and stopped the auto.

"Why..? Why did you stop the auto?" She asked worried.

While the driver gave her devilish look, she realised it wasn't safe anymore, she gets down from the auto was going to get down from the auto when he held her saying, "Kaha jaa rahe ho Madam..!" (Where are you going madam?)

"Leave my hand.." She struggled when suddenly her sleeves gets torn as he was forcing her when Raman came there running and asked, "Ishita, I was waiting for you.. Why did you left in auto?" She looked at him shocked as well as worried, she quickly hides her torn sleeves.

Seeing him, the driver quickly leave her hand which Raman noticed, his anger arise. How could he dare to touch her..!! But controlling his anger, he calmly asked, "Come.. I'll drop you."

"Sir jee.. Woh auto kharab ho gai.. Mein madam jee ko bol raha tha ki dusri auto dekh le.." (Sir, my auto breaks down suddenly. I was telling madam to catch another auto.)

Giving a nod to him, Ishita gets down from auto and hugged him terrified. Raman could sense her sobs in his arms. "It's okay.. I'm here with you." He consoled her patting on her back.

Seeing Ishita horrific, the driver gets scared and left with his auto. "Thank god sir.. You came.. Else..!!" She sobbed.

"Calm down Ishita. Tumhe kuch nahi hua hai." (Nothing happened with you.)

He was trying to pacify her when suddenly his hand touched on her bare arms, she shivered in his touch and pulled herself away from him. She tried to hide her arms when Raman put his coat on her shoulder, she looked up at him and shared an intense eye lock.

Kaise bataayein, kyun tujhko chahe, yaara bataa na paaye...

Baatein dilo ki, dekho jo baaki, aankhein tujhe samjhaye...

Tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na .. tu jaane na...

Suddenly the clouds thundered breaking their eye lock. Raman moved his hand from her shoulder saying, "Come, I'll drop you."

They were on their way to Ishita's house when Raman said, "Who told you to stay at office for long?"

Ishita widened her eyes at him and politely replied, "You told me sir..!"

"Damn it, I know..!" He banged his fist on the steering. "But you shouldn't stay there for long. Look..!! If I ever tell you to stay, please do not stay for long. Mera kaam tumhari safety se zyada important nahi hai." (My work isn't important than your safety.) As he said, Ishita looked at him shocked but a small smile crept on the corner of her lips.

Raman dropped Ishita at her place. "Your home..!" Ishita looked outside and about to remove the coat from her shoulder when he said, "Take it with you." Smiling at him, she gets down from the car, he too left from there.

"You took so long, Ishu..!" Her mother said once she entered.

"Had done work, amma.." Saying this, she quickly went to her room before her mother noticed anything and gets worried for her.

After changing into her night dress, Ishita settled on the bed when she noticed Roman's coat which reminds her the incident, how Raman saved her. "He isn't so bad..!" She smiled.

Raman was punching on the boxing bag in anger as he reminisced the incident which happened with Ishita. When suddenly he remembered that auto driver's misbehaviour. He held the punch way to bring it in rest. He quickly called Mihir. "Yes Raman?"

"Mihir, I'm sending you a car number.. Find the driver and send him behind the bars."

"But Raman what's wrong? What he has done?" Mihir asked confused.

"That driver tried to molest someone. Do what I said to you.." Saying this he hang up the call. "I won't leave him." He gritted his teeth in anger.

Next morning, Ishita was getting ready for office, she was wearing a pencil skirt, with a blouse, when suddenly her eyes fall on his coat. "Ishu.. You should say him a thanks, after all he saved you. But how should I say..! Humesha toh Ravan Kumar avatar mein rehte hai.." (He masked Ravan Kumar avatar on his face always.) She thought for a while and came up with an idea. "Should I give him a gift..?! After all.. Unhone meri bohot help ki hai.. He deserve a gift." (He helped me a lot.) She smiled looking at the mirror. "But what..!! He's such a rich man.. I haven't that capability to gift him something expensive." She paused for a while but again shrugged away the thoughts saying, "Gift toh gift hota hai.. Price se kya lena dena..! Yeah.. Before going to office, I'll buy something for him." (Gift is gift.. Price doesn't matter. ) She decided.

Ishita reached office and checked Raman's cabin but he wasn't present. She settled on her desk and opened her bag to see the gift. She smiled thinking, "I hope he likes it."

Then Ishita engrossed in her work while she waited for Raman's arrival. But as he didn't come, she gets upset and wondered, "Why isn't he came today..?"

That time, she heard Mihir talking to Nidhi saying, "Raman isn't coming today. So, if you need any kind of help, do inform me."

Ishita gets disappointed hearing that. "Ab mein kya karu..!! Yeh gift.. Yeah.. Why not you go to his house." (What to do..) As the idea came in her mind, she gets excited. "Wow, Ishu.. What an idea..!!" She searched for some files and then went to Mihir saying, "Mihir sir.. I need Raman sir's sign on these papers." She said showing him the papers.

"Is this Malhotra's file?" Mihir asked after going the file, on which Ishita nodded. "Umm.. Raman.. Actually he isn't coming today. He has some work. Okay, do one thing. I'll give you his address, go and take sign from him." As Mihir said, Ishita gets excited.

After taking the address from him, she thought, "Now I can say him thanks with this gift and can give him his coat."

Grabbing her handbag, she left the office. Ishita was standing outside the RKB mansion, with slow steps, she walked in. It was a huge mansion with beautifully decorated inside. She looked around the hall when she found a shelf with business awards, she adored them when a servant asked, "Whom you want to meet?"

"Raman sir..?"

"He's in room.. But who are you?" The servant enquired.

"I works in his office. Actually I came to take a sign from him." She said showing him the documents. After getting permission, the servant showed her the way.

Ishita walked in his room and heard him saying, "I don't know how and where.. But I need that driver at any cost.. How could he molest.." He paused as he saw her standing at the door. "I'll call you later." Hanging up the call, he asked. "What..?"

"I.. I need your sign." She said forwarding him the files.

Raman was signing on the papers when Ishita stared at him and said, "I came here for another reason."

Raman looked up at him with flicked eyebrow. "Thank you."

"For what?" He asked.

"For saving me. I know this thank you is a small word as whatever you did for me, was a huge thing. You helped me many times in many ways. And that's why I want to say than you to you. And..." She took out the gift from her bag. "This small gift is for you. I know this is not so expensive.. But I'll be glad if you use it."

Raman received the gift from her asking, "Anything else?"

Ishita was shocked to hear him, he was so rude with her. "You may leave now."

"You know what sir.. It was my mistake that I thought to gift you this.." She said hurt. "You're a stone hearted person, who has no emotions for anyone." She snatched the gift from his hand saying, "You don't deserve this." And she throws it on the floor.

Before he could say anything, she left from there crying. Raman received the gift from the floor and opened it, he saw a tie in it. He just smiled having the beautiful gift from her.

While Ishita returned to office and engrossed in her work to avoid his thoughts. "God, what's happened with this laptop now..!!" She banged on it in anger.

"Wohoo.. Take it easy girl.." He heard a voice, she looked up and saw Subhhu was smiling at her.

"I'm not a joker, that you're smiling at me." She said irritated.

"But you looks cute when you gets angry." He said. Ishita didn't answer to him and looked away. "Is there any problem?" He asked.

"No.. Please excuse me..!!" Saying this, she went to washroom and cried her heart out thinking Raman's behavior towards her.
