All these were heavily advertised. These are just a few. Some movies are not even released in Mumbai and Pune due to lack of distributor confidence. The help from govt is not sufficient to cover the costs.
I have already pointed out average budget of a good Marathi movie with a solo star is 1- 1.5 crores .
They recover chunk of their money in first weekend(Fri--Sat-Sun) itself while they profit in second weekend.
Most of such relatively bigger movies with stars do stay in theaters for atleast 2 weeksđ.
For smaller movies the budget might go down to 50-75 lakhsđ. With government chipping in with 25 lakhs all they have to do is recover about 50 lakhs which is not a big deal.
I don't know about Lucky but ye re ye re paisa was a superhit đđź.
Movies like Kachcha Limbu rarely succeed at BO, they are award filmsđ
Abhinay Berde is not a star his solo movies are bound to flopđ.
Distributor confidence has nothing to do with a movie not getting screens, it is about availability of screens for smaller movies. For eg Rinku Rajguru's Makeup gobbled up all the screens for Marathi movies in urban area while other smaller movies of that week were released in like 20-22 screens. Yet Makeup flopped because Rinku Rajguru is not a starđ.
