i have a feeling a lot of these female characters cough kripa kashish cough are chip off the ole Ekta block. Back in the day, She was so egotistical, sadistic, vicious, and just so petty and mean..the similarities are uncanny. 😂😂

Ekta old heroine's be it Prerna from KZK season 1 or Kashish they atleast had spine of steel and a voice, unlike how the heroine's of itv are written these days, They allow the ML and the mother-in-law to walk all over them.

I watched almost all of Gul shows expect the supernatural ones like Nazar and Yeh Jaadu, I love her couples but I don't like how her FL keep running behind the guys for "Love" and keep getting insults like are they addicted to insults? Her FL starts off as strong headed woman but after marriage they turn into doormats.

What all Gul shows did you watch? I just watched Geet and Ishqbaaz. Ekta starts out with better FL but messes up the actual love story, atleast Gul remembers its a love story

I loved Geet too. Switched from writing sujal kashish fan fic to Geet Maan. I think Geet became everything that Kahin toh Hoga could not. But still Geet tripping over everything was too much for me. After Rajeev, If there has been any actor that I liked, I mean considering the character portrayal, I would go for Harshad. Specially his portrayal of Prem before his death. Man he had became a craze after that episode where he saves Heer from getting slapped from her Aunt. His rage, his dialogues, his expressions were spot on. That character was such amazingly written. I find that character to be the best one till date, written by Ekta. Sujal was somewhat a grey character, not meant to be loved. But its Rajeev's portrayal that made him a household name. But Prem was to another level. He was loved by his family , by his girlfriend and he took stand for the girlfriend, even against the family where needed. What would the girl want more. Love ..respect a slight hint of possessiveness and anger where required.

He was though played with as a character later on , but you can still justify his actions.And after the leap he somehow redeemed himself. Prem was my first love and since I was a teenager adulting by then I would say , I wanted a man exactly like him. He did not humiliate Heer ever specially in the first season.

One thing I would give to Ekta ,,,she makes her man redeem unline GUL. However she does no such thing with her female lead. SHe justified every action of her female lead. EIther buy showing her mahaan or by butchering the male leads character. Its just that if you cant write a character that is loved by audience, play with the surrounding character. Gul does it with her male leads, no redemption, everything justified in the name of his past experiences/struggles.

Prerna was such a doormat as far as it came to Bajaj. Sati savitri when its Bajaj. All her sassiness, boldness, empowered woman avatar came the moment ANurag dropped a pin. I dont remember Baja redeeming himself. Its just that Bajaj was like any other Gul man. Though Gul man makes less mistakes after being in live. Bajaj started making more. I despise Preraj. Not that i was in love with Prerag, but yeah just to give a priority to Bajaj's character, they did not pay any heed to Anurag's, which I felt was wrong. I dont know what the part-2 of this show is doing with these three characters. Both male leads are famous in their own way. SO as writers it will be difficult for them to take a side. So probably Pendulum way is the best way.

Whatever you've written above just sums up Kripa's character. She loved to overcomplicate things which could be solved by just speaking the truth(which wouldn't really hurt people that much). She would never confide in anyone( except for the villains ofcourse) which would just create multiple misunderstandings later. She was a loony🤪

During their first misunderstanding, he thought Kripa is cheating on him with Prithvi, and you know why bcoz unfortunately he saw one MMS where Kripa was resting her head on Prithvi's shoulder, that's it! 😆

Angad never gave kripa a chance to speak neither told her what he saw although she kept asking him, what I have done, why you're doing this to me?

Great acting by Iqbal, his dialogue delivery was too good in it 👏

Angad was not some innocent doodh ka dhula the way he is being discussed here. Both A & K were nasty characters

Oh it’s simple. I hate Kripa so much that anything Angad did just never seemed bad enough - except for that one controversial scene. I blamed Ekta because it’s like a game of ping pong for her. It almost seemed like she needed to butcher the shit out of Angad to even out the hate. Kripa’s character was a loser from the earlier episodes already, so I was not surprised when she kept stooping to every level possible. Angad was initially perceived as an a**sho*le but once he fell in love, it was basically him shouldering the relationship throughout the entire show. It was always him loving her. Him forgiving her. Him getting punished for her. Whilst Kripa never seemed to have an issue with moving on after screwing him over.

Even when they were together, all she did was roll her eyes and argue with him over the most dumbest things. It’s almost like she picked a fight for the sake of fighting. My bias also comes to play since I absolutely LOVE Iqbal Khan and naturally I’ll despise his character less because I never promised to be objective 😆. However all Kripa needed to do was breathe in the wrong direction and that was enough to set me off.

Someone else has already mentioned all the evil he did, so not getting into that. He was far beyond redemption. Also Anurag was a terribly written character, no doubt about it.

After reading all this yesterday, I actually watched a few episodes of KTH. The dialogues are so archaic. And the story is damn lame but maybe uss time ke shows waise hi the.

I used to like Akshat so much, yesterday he just seemed hyperactive and fake. The guy is not a good actor at all🤣. I was laughing at him and not with him.
