Oh I love this thread. I was gaga over Sujal. But KTH treatment of the Sujal-Kashish left me so unsatisfied that I started writing fan-fics on them...lol

Sujal was my Mr Darcy (Pride & Prejudice)

on topic of Gul's characters; I tried watching Gul's shows. Even if Ekta's characters become worst but Gul's characters are so half-baked. Its almost like she doesn't even try to create character arcs. They are just random scenes joined together

For example in Geet, the FL used to fall so many times. At one point I thought she might be having some nerve issues some history with paralysis

Atleast Kashish had spine and acted like a normal human to an extent. In initial KTH episodes she proved as a worthy and logical voice of reason to Sujal, that's why he was impressed; not because she fell into his arms

EK is sadist though, she has introduced so many beautiful pairs/Jodi but only to destroy them later.😆

My Most Fav pairs from EK’s shows are following (like they are the best ones!!!) :

1. Robbie-Kasturi from Kasturi: They were magical on-screen, amazing chemistry.❤️ Even though during most of time in show they were separated and Robbie either singing Mitwa or Kabhi Alawida na kehna in Kasturi’s yadein lol.😂❤️

Robbie as a rockstar is amazing, he is my fav rockstar on ITV!🤩❤️ I didn’t knew about Angad from KYPH! When I saw a clip of KYPH on YouTube , I thought Angad was a copy of Robbie, later realised it was other way around haha.😆

Robbie was loyal to Kasturi throughout the whole show and only loved her no matter what.❤️

2. Arjun-Arohi from Kitani Mohabbat Hai: They were amazing and looked soo cute together!! I use to ship them off-screen too❤️but now they have broken up.😭 This show came in 2 seasons, quite short but amazing storyline and I am glad none of seasons were dragged. 1season was a bit like Veer-Zaara where Arjun was narrating his story like SRK in prison. :(

Arjun was an amazing character, loved him as business tycoon.🙈

3. Sujal-Kashish from Kahin to hoga: They have good chemistry and of course Sujal being my fav.😁

4. Shivaay-Anika from Ishqbaaaz: That one couple from non EK shows (from Gul’s show) which I have absolutely loved... they were and are gorgeous on screen and they share amazing Chemistry!!⭐️ I still miss them a lot.❤️❤️❤️

SSO has its own aura - soo charming and good looking.⭐️Most stylish ML on ITV (imo)!😎❤️

Otherwise I have liked few other pairs from recent EK shows like:

Arjun and Drashti from Pardes mein hai mera dil

Abhi and Pragya from KKB - actually I find them quite cute and funny and Shabir is playing a fun-loving & cool rockstar.💜

Raman and Ishita from YHM

Rudraksh and Preesha from YHC

Anurag-Taani from Tere Liye

Parth (Anurag) and Erica (Prerna) from KZK2 - they are very cute too.💜But as usual EK is hell bent on separating them. Arghhh!!🤦🏽‍♀️

Sujal said to Kashish that girls run behind him, he doesn't run behind girls. Kashish was the only girl who refused him and that hurt his ego, In episode 3 when he asked her out on a coffee date she refused saying she's running late and that hurt his ego so much and began his obsession...

Ekta old heroine's be it Prerna from KZK season 1 or Kashish they atleast had spine of steel and a voice, unlike how the heroine's of itv are written these days, They allow the ML and the mother-in-law to walk all over them.

I watched almost all of Gul shows expect the supernatural ones like Nazar and Yeh Jaadu, I love her couples but I don't like how her FL keep running behind the guys for "Love" and keep getting insults like are they addicted to insults? Her FL starts off as strong headed woman but after marriage they turn into doormats.

Simple middle class girl meets rockstar - player who doesn’t believe in love (KYPH).

Rockstar falls in love with simple gal and starts believing in the TAKAT OF SINDOOOR (KYPH).

Love is in the AIR but series of misunderstandings led to rockstar accusing simple gal of infidelity (KYPH).

Hero grovels and repents for his mistake but too late as heroine is now marrying his best friend (KTH).

Hero crying outside her window and breaking down (KTH).

Love and consummation of marriage happens eventually (KTH).

Husband dies and naturally heroine thinks it’s hero’s fault and marries him to take revenge (KTH!!!!).

Even in this show Kasturi was forever getting engaged or breaking the guys heart to pieces. LMAO holy crap how could I have forgotten this gem 🤣

Haha Kasturi was indeed a mixture of KTH and KYPH! Although I found out about KYPH way after Kasturi ended.😂

Robbie-Kasturi though!

Also I would add Devdas. They had this track for a bit in Kasturi where Kasturi ditches Robbie on their wedding day!! Poor guy - my heart goes out for him.😭😭❤️ And instead marries Manish Behl, he played a character of Kabir there who had 3 kids (two of them were the same age as Kasturi), just so she can save Robbie from getting bankrupted.😳 Kabir took Robbie’s property and therefore she made a deal with him. In attempt to save Robbie, she made the situation even worse where he tried to commit suicide, got depressed, continuously drinking and sleeping on road and what not.😭

This sort of track has repeated in so many EK’s shows and I find it so bizarre. FL are so dumb to understand that ML are more likely to be happy with them rather than without them where they think money/property will supposedly keep ML more happy and hence they “sacrifice” their love.🤔 But ulta their so-called sacrifice is a torture for guys.

KYPH FL was worst in Ekta land but atleast the fans didn't have to suffer plastic surgery/memory loss/getting married to sister in law kind of tracks. Comparatively luckier than the other fandoms I would say😆

@bold: He looks both hot and cute here. He's not able to put a label on whatever he's feeling. Iqbal was so good and Neha was most of the times pathetic.

And that joker Prithvi. Who lands up at his supposed best friends house in a sherwani ready to get engaged to her without even informing her? Matlab ring, maa-baap sabke liye time hai bas inform karne ka time nahi hai. Slow claps 👏👏

Honest confession- I didn't watch the show while Kripa was married to Prithvi. He was unbearable on screen. Only resumed watching it once Angad got married to her.

LMFAO this whole post made me laugh 😆. To be honest if you think about it, Anurag was possibly the only ML that was consistently treated like crap throughout the entire show. He even got friend zoned at one point! 🤣

Jokes aside, I truly felt bad for Anu. He loved Prena for soooo long and had to witness her being married to someone else for almost the entirety of the show. That must’ve hurt. At least the only redeeming factor about Kripa was that she didn’t actually attempt to murder Angad. THAT was the only thing left to do since she did just about everything else. I can also appreciate that Angad never accepted her being married or fake married (to Hiten later in the show). He was always jealous and hateful no matter what 😆

What can I say? That’s Prithvi’s style 😳 - just show up with the fam bam and have an insta engagement without even proposing to the girl (or at least informing her. How rude 😆).

You did the right thing not watching the show when Kripa got married. I think that’s probably half the reason why I despised her so much, since I watched every despicable episode. Now I have PTSD and any flashback of the show triggers me big time 😆

Avid Geet watcher here 🖐🏽 - Loved loved loved loved loved loved loved loved that show (until it got butchered with stupid storyline’s later on).

Anurag from KZK 1 character wasn't well written though, I never feel anything for him like I did for Sujal. Kasautii as a show overall was more famous for its villains than the leads chemistry and story.

Anurag was a poor extremely poor character.. i mean the poor dude paid for that one act (a despicable one no doubt) his whole life.. Bajaj on the other hand got away Scot free despite doing worse

First he blackmailed Prerna into marrying him.. then he was the reason the woman was character assassinated as he drugged her and clicked objectionable pics with her (a crime that should have safely landed him in jail).. he let Prerna believe he saved her from fire.. then he slept with another woman and lied about it to Prerna.. he slapped Prerna and taunted her time and again with Anurag's name.. to top it, he even questioned Prerna's character when he learned Anurag Prerna were in same hotel room (the exact same mistake that cost Anurag his whole life, difference being Prerna wasn't pregnant)

Anurag was a pathetic loser but Bajaj was a criminal who never paid for his crimes.. all Prerna's so called self respect only came to fore when it was Anurag at receiving end..the woman was a doormat when it came to Bajaj.. I hate the way they glorified Bajaj..

I didn't like Bajaj in kzk.
