People Paintal is such a great actor.


So effectively has he portrayed the character of an effeminate character. Even now not many actor can portray it in that way. Nor did he make it look funny nor did he make it seem deliberate. He made it look so natural like any one you might meet on road

Considering that his brother was the casting director, am just wondering how did he even think that Paintal would be right match for this role

Exactly, he was spine-chillingly amazing in his portrayal! Especially, the scene where Shikhandi reveals his last birth's secret to Dhrishtadyumna!

Undoubtedly. Everyone in Mahabharata were just so apt. No wrong casting

Such characters have the risk of going unintentionality comical or getting reduced to a caricature. But Paintal owned the character against all reservations. That display of a rooted agony with the sadist satisfaction of being so near the purpose of the reincarnation was flawless.

Exactly it's not easy to present the character as normal. Neither did it streotype nor was there useless comedy
