I used to think about that everytime I saw those shows but never dared to ask anyone ki sab mujhe pagal samjhenge, but today when she said that her grandfather knew about the game I couldn't resist myself from asking

I think back in Star Plus MB days ( I used to lurk at that time), someone who knew reading Sanskrit actually said that the game was not similar to Ludo/board game.

She said that it was a counting game. She explained the rules also.

I think those dice were like we have today, BRC might have made it cuboid to show some variation from the current dice and didn't realize they are making a blunder and the shows which aired later just followed the suit(just like Shakuni became limb in all the later serials)

It is chausar game some what like ludo game but difference is that in ludo is game open with specific number like 6 or 1

But in chausar no specific number is required to open game

In ludo 4 player play individually where as in chausar game partnership ship is required to play game on one side two players play game as partner ship and other side two players play as partner ship
