What srk did was in best interest of the film. He was producing most of those films , as a producer he was right. He regret it now but at that time any wise person would have done the same when your crores are at stake.

He tried to redeem it with HNY but I guess she was destined to do sarabjit and Jazbaa and likes.

Heck no. Madz was the weakest link of Devdas. She also looked so mature aunty in the film. It's only Aishwarya who stole the show from everyone. Infact Kirron Kher had stronger role and performance than Madhuri. Madhuri had just two Mujras. Even in Dola Re , she was sidelined by Aishwarya. Accept it or not its the truth.

Farah Khan said during Om Shanti Om that she was searching someone who looks like Aishwarya since she could not get Aishwarya for Main Hoon Naa for obvious reason, so Farah wanted someone like Aishwarya in OM Shanti OM. Farah said She saw Deepika as an Aishwarya alternative for her film. So she cast her.

Wow....always found SRK over rated as an actor but thought he was a decent person off screen, guess I was wrong about that considering he ADMITTED getting Aish thrown out of movies again and again for no fault of hers 🙃

Aishwarya Rai might tried to do with SRK exactly what she did with Vivek Oberoi wanted to use him to get rid off Sallu Bhai but SRK cant be her fish,,, thats why he always keeps distance from her

Aishwarya may not be a great performer , I mean barring a few films like SLB or Mani Ratnam, she tends to screech and ham a lot.

But in the early 2000s many wanted to cast her especially after HDDCS and Devdas and she was the first choice for many films.

Unfortunately Salman creating a big ruckus in chalte chalte ruined a lot of things for her. SRK replaced her overnight and did not want any drama or problems.

Many directors and producers too either did not want to be in the bad books of Salman or did not want the Chalte chalte incident so picked other actresses.

It is so sad that instead of standing upto Ash, they all were either with Salman or were too scared of him

And Ash lost a lot of plum projects for no fault of her own. Luckily for her there were quite a few roles in Hollywood and crossover films and some indie films

In fact she could have been successful there but she was not comfortable with kissing and skin show so and not a very good actor.

Kajra re song, Dhoom 2, were her comebacks.

The Bachchan bahu tag did help as a lot of them who would have been happy to ignore her, had to be very nice with her.

Farah initially wanted Naseeruddin Shah to play the main villain Raghavan in the film. Believe it or not, but Amrita Rao came very close to losing the role of Sanjana. Makers at one point were seriously considering Ameesha Patel for the role but things did not go as planned.
