Is lack of big stars in 00s debutants hurting new girls?

Call me sexist or misogynist, but most of the outsider female actress in this industry since ages have had her acquaintances with audience increased because of starring in a role in a big movie with a big star. I am not saying popularity because that increases due to other factors, which is an actress's own quality, whether her beauty, sex appeal or acting/dancing talent.

And generally a movie star requires a period of 10-15 years to become a good household name and when any one features in a film with these stars, they become household faces, if not names.

But issue I see today is, new girls barely have adequate age stars to start working. Like Khans, Akki and Ajay, don't really fit the cool and happening age group anymore.

The 00s debutants in that case, have been very disappointing. Hrithik barely does movies, Shahid is a semi 🌟, and Ranbir also works in such a minimal rate. Yes these guys aren't exactly young, but they are in the same range or little younger than Khans or Akki/Ajay where during the late 00s.

So I think lack of male stars from the 00s stars is hurting outsider females today.

I think Kareena and PC made it big without needing any popular pairing with a male superstar

No, because we are in a changing industry where women are not expected to be starring opposite big stars but carrying lead roles on their own. The actresses of today are able to do this starring along side with the young actors and not the older actors.

good riddance if you ask me. The actresses are getting better roles because they are not necessary relying on a big star to carry the film. Films with an equal screen time between the actor and actress are the films that are beginning to work. not all of them..but there is a large skew from before.

On the contrary, it's benefitting people like Kangana, Taapsee because they no longer need to depend on a big male star to churn out a successful film. It's only done them good.

The likes of Jacqueline, Vaani Kapoor may get films opposite big stars but what's the point? They couldn't attain fame the way their predecessors did.

Yes, Sonakshi never got big fat fame because she worked with Salman and Ajay and Akshay in Dabangg, Son Of Sardaar, Joker.

Kareena never got a big push in her career from signing 3 Idiots, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ra.One with Aamir, Salman, SRK.

Sonam never got the biggest film of her career by starring with Salman Khan in PRDP.

I feel bad for Kriti..she was doing well for herself with bareilly ki barfi and Lukka chhupi..but lost patience and acted opp Akki..she is now a B lister.I worry for Katty..

It is a fact,and everyone knows that Anushka has no interest in acting with any hero in BW.Her husband is the biggest brand in India.It is a step down for her aura.

Actresses now don't care for male stars..no one is on their wishlist.

BOI will keep writing frustrated articles on the heroines..because they know that male stars are sitting at home and wondering ..what next?If they will ever push the envelope.PK made 300 crs in 2014!!!!

Now with release dates in a mess,cash crunch and shoot delays..Industry is in deep recession.

What is HR gonna do? What next for SRK..Salman has some B grade films lined up..83 and Amir film are the only ones which just may surprise.But will earn less than what was expected-because of backlog of films and corona fear.

On the other hand,Alia has Sadak 2,Gangubai..may sign another interesting film.With every small film she signs..a hero loses out.

BW is now B grade,except for the small/medium films,with good content saving it.

Can you imagine Tapsee doing a film with Akki today/ Her fans will disown her.Kangana with all her flops is still too good for our 100 cr heroes.Public will not have it.

It’s not like Thappad or any Kangana films in recent times set box office on fire

Its great that now girls DON'T NEED to be ARM CANDIES of human beings just like us.

Thank God that disrespectful view of females has been marginally reduced in Bollywood where they were just shown as side kicks & trophies of the MARDZZZZZ.......huhh

Good change that now women are also been seen as full fledged independent human beings, and not mere show pieces or SEX OBJECTS that was the case in majority of 80's 90:s and early 2000's toxic male chuvanistic movies where some MARDDD used to stand with wide spread legs having a gun in hand, and two sex objects (read women) used to sit on floor holding the knees of the maradddd...

Thank God those insulting times are over.
