In my story no komolika or basu baditrack took place.
PART 4
Prerna looked at the man who was her husband and one look at his eyes had told her something was going to happen tonight something that would either destroy he ror build them.
Her husband hid every emotion under the mask of indifference so well that she often wondered if he was made of stone but those eyes, the coal black diamond’s often gave him away at least to her.
The way he had looked at her tonight throughout the dinner and while she had been putting sneha to sleep had unraveled something inside her she was scared to acknowledge. He had looked at her like she was a puzzle he couldn’t wait to decode, a gift that needed to be unwrapped, like there was nothing else in the world to see and it had made her feel divine and powerful in a way she had never felt before.
When she had uttered his name it hadn’t tasted sweet on he rlips like she had expected it to instead it had tasted like the man himself, intoxicating and forbidding, like sin she had realized a second later.
“It’s a very dangerous game you are trying to play love, back off, run, escape before you destroy yourself.” he whispers against her ear, his voice dangerously low, lower than she had ever heard.
“I married you and survived 7 months, I know what I am getting into” she spoke determinedly taking his hand into hers.
“Stop before it’s too late Prerna” he warned half heartily
“Do you want me to?” she questioned.
Something changes in his eyes then, too many emotions all in conflict with each other. Looking into his eyes feels like seeing a hundred different worlds colliding, being destroyed and repaired all at once.
“No” he answers truthfully “The only time people have seen the real me is at the time I destroy them. You wouldn’t want to stay after that prerna, no one does, you’ll want to run but it would be too late.”
“Why do you think I can’t decide for myself, I’ll decide what I want to see, where I wan tto be” fury lacing her tone, and then it suddenly softened “I am telling you in no uncertain terms that I want to be here with my family, in my home with our daughter, I want to know the man I am married to, you know I don’t lie.” The fight leaving her body and gentleness replacing it.
“There is too much I can’t tell you… not yet at least” he argued.
“And I am willing to wait, I am willing to wait until you are ready to tell me but we need to be on the same page for now.” She said as she begins to move out of the room in order to give him some space.
“It’s the last time I am trying to warn you prerna you are signing up for blood and sin and hell, I won’t let you walk away. Ever he doesn’t say the last word.
Do you need me to write it down on paper I am going to sleep join me if you are done asking the same question a 100 times more she moves away muttering about idiotic men but all he hears are those words
“I am not leaving”
You really are not love. Not now No tever

The next morning Prerna woke up to both anticipation and hope she tried to get out of the bed only to stop at the sight of her husband.
The man was freaking handsome.
“Checking out people while the sleep, didn’t know you were one of those prerna” he says, his eyes still closed and that stupid devilish smirk on his face.
“Or pretend to sleep, to fool their innocent wife” she retorted, pouting.
“Innocent, yeah right” he said rolling his eyes “the woman who came stomping in my office and kissed me like hell must be someone else”
“You weren’t complaining then” she speaks mockingly trying to hide the blush that finds its way to her cheek.
“And I won’t complain now” he says as his lips come closer to hers only to be stopped by her hand and pushed back in bed.
“I haven’t even brushed my teeth.”
“You are really good at spoiling romance woman, but you can compensate for that.” He says sounding exasperated.
“How?”
“Have dinner with me tonight, sneha anyways spends Fridays with maa”
“Ok but only if you get me ice cream after that.”
“You’ve got yourself a deal Mrs Bajaj”
“Now let me go” she said
“I can’t”the playfulness evaporated from his eyes and was replaced by intensity his grip on her wrist tightened for a second before he finally released it and let her go.
Since it was Friday Prerna had no afternoon classes, assignments could wait and her daughter was at her maternal home enjoying all of her nani’s attention and affection so Prerna spent her afternoon thinking about her life she did that a lot these days.
No one, not even Mr Bajaj had understood why she had been so desperate to save Anurag. The favor anurag had done to her had always been a tangible weight on her heart he had saved her from a life of misery, from Naveen and she couldn’t help but be grateful to him.
Anurag had countless times reassured her that it was what he would have done for anyone but she had always felt indebted, like she owed him something and then she finally had a chance to pay him back to save his life, to get rid of that debt so her love mixed with guilt, rashness and gratefulness had made her do something that irrational, marry a complete stranger.
Anurag had been her first taste of love, the only man she had ever imagined a future with she had been enjoying the haze of first love when her world had come crashing down like a castle of cards.
Rishab Bajaj had entered it destroyed her rose hued dreams and pulled her into a reality so much harsher than it had ever been and she had hated him from the deepest part of her heart.
Anurad had been a small part of the bitterness and anger she had felt towards her marriage. It was not just about losing her love they had been about losing her choice, her chance to select the man she would be bound for the rest of her life and it had hurt like hell.
On some nights she felt like it would be less painful if someone stabbed her with a dagger and twisted it inside her but then there were days where she had been peaceful, content and …happy, with her daughter and her life.
Rishab Bajaj had been a terrible man but he had also redeemed himself by being a doting father, a dutiful son-in-law and a good husband.
The man had talked to her mother, convinced her family that she was not at fault, provided her endless support to study, respected and trusted her. Both of them had been at fault but he deserved a chance they deserved a chance.
She had suddenly stopped her musing and after looking at the wrist watch decided to get ready.
She had a date tonight
