Props to her to maintain her Desi culture while at same time embracing theirs.

Not only being married to an american husband. But even before she married him and when she was staying in india only, I did see hints of american culture in her. Mainly because she lived in the US as a teen and did her highschool or whatever there.

I believe she still maintains her indian identity despite the transition to US but she clearly is influenced by the american culture. but she has always been

A few years ago when she first moved to LA for Quantico she posted a picture of herself at the produce section of a grocery store with a caption that said why were there so many fruits or something like that. She’s from India and she was pretending to be shocked by seeing many choices for fruits 🙄. I do think she desperately wants to appear as this cool Indian American chic who’s liked by all. As for the recent stuff, she has a lot of followers so I’m sure it’s useful information for a lot of people. Personally, I have a hard time taking hypocrites seriously. She attended a Holi party after the Corona advisory was issued. So her trying to act like an advocate now is eye roll worthy to me. Just like I rolled my eyes when Sara Ali Khan came back after visiting the markets of Varanasi and then started posting about social distancing. Or when Akshay was acting mad that people were going outside when he did his curfew thing outside. I don’t know if their privilege is making them blind to their own hypocrisy or if they are thinking their PR will be able to completely drown their stupidity with their positive actions or words.

@red : what the hell.😡 this does make me cringe........ we in India know far more about American cuisine then most American do about Indian........

@blue : oh yes, she was celebrating when it was at its peak in Wuhan......and had reached other countires......i think S.korea and Iran......and when i questioned the celebration, i was mocked by her main fan and told to not visit IF, if i feel sympathy for the people dying from coronavirus

No...I don't find her cringe at all. She always seemed to me like an over-achiever, and someone who is very ambitious. But never wannabe or cringe.

She has always been like this, a wannabe. She hides her insecurities by pretending to be so confident. Fake and wannabe through and through. There is no before or after effect of NJ in her life. Infact, I’m very sure she has made things uncomfortable for Nick mostly by shoving her antics down to him.

Without taking her hardworking and ambitious drive away she definitely comes across wannabe opportunistic types. Shes dying to be the next big thing and will do anything ie even marry a young boy to succeed in the western world. Everything from her fake accent to her walk and talk cringes me.
