PHOTOS: Italy sparkles in 'flashmob of lights', latest show of coronavirus solidarity

Italy was lit up on Sunday night as people joined a 'flashmob of lights', the latest effort to show solidarity amid a nationwide lockdown.

Seeking ways to build community under restrictions that have placed a three-week ban on socializing, dining out or even leaving the house except for essentials, Italians have become creative in their efforts to greet neighbours without breaking quarantine rules.

In addition to singalongs from windows and balconies, which have now become a nightly occurrence, on Sunday night Italians were invited to switch off their lights and hold up mobile phones, torches and candles to create a twinkling 'flashmob of lights'.

Messages shared on social media called for the blackout to start at 9 pm, with the goal to make the hand-held light show visible from space.

That may have been a bit ambitious, but the effect was nonetheless beautiful.

Chalo atleast he is providing amusement to few sad souls, will definitely reduce the negative vibes they emanate 24*7 for few days which might make the world slightly better with positivity.

Unless you are born in english speaking country you are also copying and writing in English language.

Whats wrong in following something positive? What;'s wrong in starting something positive?

Where do you get so much negativity from?

👏

Now this will make sense to people but if Indians do it, they will cry hue lol. 🤣

Inka har cheez mein negative reaction hi hota hai. Remember the last time they supported anything? Never.

If someone says something in support of the government, then all hell breaks lose.

People are mocking this flashlight thing, that's fine, quite your opinion.

Even, a lot of people are using covid to propagate their hate for the government(I'm talking about IF) I would've taken it as criticism but a lot her blindly HATE him it's evident. They purposely make such threads which are controversial and spread hate. All I'm saying, give your hate a break for a while because the country is in shit storm rn.

But I'm quite blown away by the hypocrisy of the people in the tablighi jamaat thread. Not only they have been mistreating the doctors and the staff but have gone totally unhinged today.

Even today, Muslims in ghaziabad have stone pelted doctors who came there for the treatment. Just f*cking pathetic!

I'm still waiting to be labelled as an islamophobe by many.

They interviewed a lady doctor and she was in literal tears as it felt from her voice. She said just because they had police force with them, they got out of it alive otherwise no chance they would've been alive.

I'm waiting how many will talk about this or just conveniently push it under the rug. I'm all for political discussions but you need to be a citizen first and not a blind hater.

When you criticize and praise things with an objective point of view, then it feels like that we're taking to genuinely worried citizens. Here, it's very clear people's concern for the POOR comes from a place of hatred for one man.

Most issues are talked daily in press conference by health ministry

Like yesterday announced , but bhakts and liberandus both doesn't read about these things coz they are not intersting to them.

Domestic indigenous manufacturing of N-95 masks has been stepped up: Health ministry

16:40 (IST), APR 02

Orders placed for over 1.5 cr personal protective equipment (PPEs), supply has already started: Health ministry

Anyone making false claim on any matter can be punished up to 2 years of jail with fine and laws: Home secretary to states

Anyone obstructing enforcement of lockdown could be punishable for jail term of up to 2 years: Home secretary to states

Around 3.25 lakh migrant labourers in state-run shelters across Maharashtra: Tope

Maharashtra govt to use blood samples instead of swabs in rapid tests for Covid-19 detection: Tope

15:52 (IST), APR 02

Woh toh hain, govt is doing as much as it can, but I think Modi speaking himself would assure people lot more.
