A traffic sign in Germany reads "We are united. Respect and thanks!".

This is happening in Australia

The latest movement to lift spirits amid the overbearing COVID-19 pandemic is a 'bear hunt'.

People around the world have started putting bears in their windows so families with children in self isolation can go on a bear hunt during their daily walk.

This is happening in Canada

The Town of Newmarket is preaching positivity as part of a campaign to raise community spirit in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A group of 10 ambassadors has been tasked with using social media to spread “positivity, happiness and humour” by sharing stories of the community’s bright side and perseverance. The town has also appointed a “chief positivity officer” for staffers as they help deliver essential services.

This is happening in USA

A painting in the doorway of this Whitefish Bay home says, "Together we will see this through."

To continue to foster the community's creativity, the Whitefish Bay Recreation and Community Education Department organized an "art in the window" contest.

"People are already putting out positive messages to the community, so we thought why don't we share those things virtually?" said Carin Keland, the department's director.

Will this solve Pandemic. No .... will it making people smile and feel better. Yes.

Other countries applauded this gesture... only in India we see people ridiculing it.

You don't like this government fine, but don't criticize anything and everything blindly.

You have any postive idea share it with social media, media house make it reach government. Like this article mentioned:

“It’s like crowd-sourcing ideas and crowd-sourcing positivity,”

“I really have come to the belief that everybody is standing strong and supporting each other right now and I’m confident that we will continue to do so,” Taylor said. “But I am concerned about people’s nerves fraying a little bit a few weeks from now. As the isolation starts to impact people more and the financial impact hits people more.

“Things like care-mongering or appointing a positivity officer to bring people together to ensure that everybody is doing OK and feeling as best they can under the circumstances are going to be really critical,

With negative COVID-19 news pouring in from around the globe, ambassadors will aim to bolster spirits by sharing good-news local stories, help provide a laugh or two, and make people feel stronger.

I agree.

But Modi is not going talk abot these issues when adressing nation.

Most issues are talked daily in press conference by health ministry

Like yesterday announced , but bhakts and liberandus both doesn't read about these things coz they are not intersting to them.

Honestly I was astonished when he said this. But then I Googled on how India has tackled COVID so far and if there are any positive (no pun intended) reports.

India is doing much better than many other countries. Look at the state of Italy and UK. They didn't take it seriously and now NHS is also struggling like crazy. US teens are still having spring break parties when they should be staying indoors because they wanna defy Trump. Okay guys, defy him, but why do you all want to do that at the cost of your lives?

India's lockdown was swifter and actually prevented the disease from spreading like wildfire since this virus spreads from human contact. In a population of 1.3 billion, we should've had lakhs or crores of cases already especially since most people live in clusters. The borders closed down faster than any other country's.

Except for the Tablighi Jamaat incident which has now caused a severe increase...but if the government does anything about the perpetrators then they're labelled as Hindu Extremests. Police are doing their duties, sanitation staff are also doing their jobs, our researchers are also figuring out a cure.

People around the world are self isolated, some live alone and in foreign countries things can get very lonely. Thats why there are videos of Spanish police playing the guitar and cheering residents, Italians are singing songs.

We Indians live a very vibrant life. Our festivals are also full of music, colour and lively. Imagine being shut for 21 days when every Indian definitely needs to get out of the house for an hour at least...just to socialise, chill or walk around. Self isolation actually causes a person to be so jumbled in their own thoughts that it causes negativity and depression.

Clapping and diyas are just a way to ensure some positivity in these difficult times. It may have nothing to do with containing the virus, but it will surely help people to not get depressed and get suicidal. Our scientists are doing all they can. Our country was one of the first to evacuate its nationals from foreign land.

Its surprising how we forget how unhelpful Iranian government was and how an Indian plane with a makeshift lab flew to Iran to evacuate the residents. How Indian staffers from the luxury cruise line Diamond Princess (that was travelling between China-Hong Kong-Japan) were evacuated. If the government didn't care those staffers on board would have probably not been amongst us anymore.

My heart broke the day I saw the video of a Pakistani student who had filmed Indian and Bangladeshi students getting evacuated and they were all trapped there.

Why can there not be some positivity during these times? Isn't the wellbeing, mental health and stability of citizens necessary? Remember, COVID 19 can be cured, but negative mental health can actually cause more harm and deaths than the virus itself.
