And what's happening after discovery of Jamaat attendees,hmm? Are they being model citizens who actually care about the rest of India and following rules? Are they behaving properly with healthcare workers and police who btw are just trying to help them LIVE? Are they behaving like missionaries should? Did their chief behave like a missionary himself rather than commanding all of them to flout government rules, and flock mosques and reject doctors.

As per information floating on the internet they have followed the government all the protocol and none of them have been out of the country but still, this is very wrong to give permission to them when Jamaat and their well-wisher trying their best to spread the corona in India...

Islamophobia in this forum needed a check and that's why I posted the other religious activities.

There are morons in every religion but that doesn't mean you target an entire religon and people of that religion because of your bigotry.

Notification by Delhi Govt on 12th March stated that anyone with a travel history from COVID-19 affected countries have to self-isolate.

Also Delhi Govt had issued an order forbidding gatherings or more than 200 persons on 13th March.

Despite this, the organisers held a gathering of more than 1000, with delegates from countries which were already known to be heavily corona infected. Worse, the attendees are not coming forward for corona test, despite so many positive cases found from the event.

Even before Malaysian incident many non-asian countries ( islamic and non islamic ) decided to stop mosque gatherings . Islamic countries were led by their govts who decided to stop the congregations and encouraged people to pray at home and in many western countries muslim people themselves called meetings and decided to close mosques and pray at home even before govt passed a lock-down order . Nizamuddin is like a stop-over where hundreds and thousands of people are always there stopping by foreigners and indians but it was highly irresponsible of organisers to not take necessary step and to stop congregation , even though many of them are educated still they acted like arrogant jaahil people with a stubborn mindset .

Religious congregations were only mentioned on the order given on 16th March.

Like I said it's after the event narrative that's inexcusable. But after listening to their chief, it becomes quite clear why they did what they did and why they don't want to admitted.

And do not worry, if this event causes the largest outbreak of Covid in India, it will hightlighted too. Like I said, not special at all. 😆

A religious gathering is also a gathering. Most people understand that.

There were too many gatherings happening even after delhi govt passed order and everyone was going about doing what they wanted to do , it's only a matter of sheer luck in other cases . Besides Nizamuddin Govt also has big failure on their part for not implementing the order strictly, still taking few days after 1st positive case came up ( as far as i read) and also their failure in making sure that foreigners were checked and they weren't roaming freely .
