Your welcome 🙂 this gif is so pretty!
@Peace: Meenu's ultimate plan is to get Mishti out of Abir's life and she'll go to any lengths necessary, what she wishes Nanu had done for her. Kuhu is disposable, especially now that she is a pawn in the plan to get rid of Mishti, but I don't think Meenu has an individual vendetta against her. Kuhu sort of managed to disappear into the RV family in a way that Meenu forgot there was a time she hadn't been there, until the extent of her insecurity about Mishti was exposed.
The way the show works, her plan has to sort of work before it doesn't, which is why I think there might be a separation. If they follow through with the foundation they've laid, Kunal and Parul will be the surprise package that upends Meenu's plans by actually going through with the separation -- Parul's speech to Kunal about a husband's duty to his wife, Kunal's public acknowledgment of Parul, and Parul's prophecy that Kuhu will come through for her when it really matters come to mind. Meenu is also gradually driving Kunal out of the business with her warnings to Kausal. The leads will then obviously be the ones to unite everyone, but honestly I am less interested in the resolution and more in the conflict. 😈
@Meera: Thank you so much! 🤗 2019-Sam would be absolutely thrilled that people are actually reading and appreciating those posts. At the time I thought it was my last hurrah on the forum so I poured all my feelings, good and bad into them.
The greatest tragedy of this show is how they've stuck these beautifully crafted, complex characters with banal ITV plotlines. Like you say, there is so much potential here but the stuff that actually makes the show compelling is sort of relegated to the side while the majority of time is spent on manufactured drama. As someone mentioned the other day though (sorry, I can't remember who!), the makers must be rejoicing that they have managed to reach so many cross sections of the audience with their buffet-style storytelling.
@Snow: Meenu's characterisation! Yes! They have absolutely dragged her character through the mud but somehow it's that image of her as the powerful but terrified matriarch that has stuck with me.
I am so looking forward to more gorgeous creations now that you have finally cracked the GIF-posting mystery! 😃
Hi guys,
I was finally able to watch this episode.
https://www.hotstar.com/1000249228
I was wondering if there was any scene that got edited when Mishti and Kuhu were arguing and Kuhu mentioned about Mishti returning the company to Kunal. Because it felt like in a fraction of second the scene sorta abruptly changed? o_O
Nonetheless it was a very interesting episode. Abir was right Meenu won. And rather easily so.
Having had first hand experience of Meenu's manipulations Mishti should have known better than believing that Kunal would be able to simply do the signature and return 😕
Kuhu had a legit reason to be furious.
I wish Abir is able to make Mishti realize that more than Kuhu's outbursts it is Mishti's own blunders that would make the 4 of them pay heavily.
Good on BM's part tho to be able to finally offer some sage advice.
Have also been watching the initial episodes and can't help but say that Mishti didn't use to be so petty in complaining about Kuhu earlier even though she always had the habit of telling on about Kuhu. Must they cater to showing bahu vs bahu

It was hard because for the most part, it was a pretty disappointing journey. I started watching for Shaheer, I was excited that he was paired with Rhea because I watched her previous show on and off (my fixation with the Mittals, you see), I really liked the premise and the ensemble cast (Meenu and Parul!), and was so excited about the two couples as mirror images. But then the manipulative writing started taking over very quickly, and it became exhausting to watch a show that force feeds you its point of view.
I was on the brink of quitting after Kuku's shaadi, and especially after what they made Kuhu do at janmashtami (man did I write a long rant about that here) but then Kuku's story started in earnest and it became impossible not to stick around, just for them.
All that said, I have visited bits and pieces of the early episodes since, and man is Meenu sassy! I love her dialogues when Abir is confronting her about Ketki's shaadi and she is reminding him that he hasn't been home in 21 days. She tells Kunal something like, " isko family ki kitni chinta hai, ye chinta karne ke liye hi jaata hai." Savage. 😎
Oh yeah! I get it now. I haven't seen complete episodes till, I think, the Visarjan episode. I watched the show in fast forward to know the plot. I have gone back multiple times when someone mentions a scene that I haven't watched and to watch KuKu scenes after I started shipping them.
Damn!! Meenu was so savage!!🤣
I checked the link and read your rant and I love it!! And the fact that most of your rant is still relevant with how the recent track was going on was just 🤯.
I will confess that while watching the first episode yesterday, I could see all of the observations and analysis come back to me during the episode. Kuhu being annoyed with the competition with Mishti, Mishti treating her like a kid and her habit of getting into situations where she isn't required, Kunal putting his brother above everyone else, even his mother, Meenu's tez taraar brain and her treating Parul with more respect than Nidhi or anyone else in the family. I don't think I would've ever been able to appreciate writers or the story without any of you guys. 🤗

and I dont want kunal to shut her up at all, I want Kunal to tell her ki tum bindaas bolo, sab kuchh bolo, I will listen to each word you utter & even address & support each of your concern, afterall husband-wife are 1 unit, your insecurity, problem is mine too, with you I will also suffer because of those, so we are in this together
uff.... my couple-goals expectations from kuku❤️
Oh yessss!!! Exactly!! Every time he shuts her up, I get so annoyed. Why won't the dude just listen to her like he said during the hospital scene.
"Tum bol rahi thi to main sun bhi to sakta tha na"
I need the Kunal we got during those scenes. The Kunal who didn't want to leave her even when his brother was in danger. That was the only time when she was his first priority. Hayeee!! I need that Kunal back🙆🏻♀️
Kuhu was quite bold in her act of seducing Kunal while he appeared quite reserved ...

or like before their 1st wedding when they were 'friends', and even after the plotting started he used to listen to her insecurities & they had better conversations than now😭

actually in hospital track, he did leave kuhu as soon as he realised that abir was in danger🥱 but he balanced well, he told an unconscious (or rather asleep) kuhu something like 'aise tumhe chhod kar jana theek bhi nahi lag raha & mann bhi nahi kar par jana zaruri hai coz bhai danger mein hai, par main wapas zarur aaunga, tum mera wait karna'
earlier for abir he was under impression that his bhai is resting in his room where he had left him, so was sure that he is safe & thus concentrated on kuhu😕

Sam, I'm absolutely in love with the way you articulate your thoughts. I went back and read all of your posts on that thread you mentioned, and all I could think was "DAMN, Sam really really has a way with words." It's truly a gift to be able to express yourself with such clarity using language. Hugs!
I have to say, never have I seen an ITV show that has given me so much to think about. My interest in shows usually ended up fizzling out after the first 100 episodes or so, especially because of the plain black-and-white writing, with a clear villain and a clear protagonist. The only other *recent* show that really made me reflect on the storytelling was KRPKAB, at least when it came to the Dev-Ishwari bond.
We now regularly bash the writers for their clear manipulation to consistently over-glorify a specific set of characters, but I know for a fact that these writers have so much of potential. They knew exactly what they were doing at the beginning of the show with these characters, which explains why I immediately liked Kuhu from the beginning. In fact, in a lot of KaVik interviews during the time of the show's launch, it was frequently mentioned that this show will set the stage for characters that will be relatable to every family member. And that was definitely the intention. I just think they're too scared to do anything out of the norm, now that they have a devoted fanbase that is full of individuals that have been watching and loving the "stereotypical" ITV shows up until this point.
Sam! We all feel the same and I think we've all expressed it one way or the other. You have such a way with words and I really wish I could articulate my feelings so clearly. Also, I would love to add Meera, Nikki and Clarity in the mix (close second) because the way you guys express also stumps me many a times. I am so glad I get to interact with you each and everyone on this AT because you all have some quality that I really admire and I wish I could imbibe, be it the thought process or the way you write or the way you create stories. I am so happy to have found you all when I did❤️.
