Some really interesting discussions, everyone!

As much as I agree that Kuhu went too far, I don't really feel bad for Mishti. These sisters have always treated each other like crap -- this is just the first time Mishti got called out on her share of the issue. Messaging Ketu without telling the rest of them and then talking to Meenu at length even if it was by chance was not cool -- again, not technically a breach of their pact but also a very convenient exploitation of technicalities.

Kuhu feels like if she didn't intervene, everyone would have just followed the solution Meenu gave Mishti and praised her for solving the problem, completely forgetting that she broke their pact. It's the divorce truth reveal all over again, which was far from the first time Kuhu has seen events unfold like this. Mishti thinking she knows best and acting of her own accord and then getting praised for it when it works out is an age-old pattern, so I can see why Kuhu got triggered and way overreacted. Yeah, her blame Mishti thing is getting irritating but maybe she would stop if someone actually held Mishti responsible for once?

What she doesn't realise is that Abir was right there with her on the central issue -- he was also not happy that Mishti talked to Meenu, no matter how it came about. If Kuhu hadn't flown off the handle, Mishti's mistake might have actually been addressed and Abir would have held her responsible. So Kuhu essentially shot herself in the foot by not being able to trust that the brothers would be fair, and trying to take matters too aggressively into her own hands.

I think I am the only one who actually appreciated how Kunal handled it. His tone with Kuhu was not cool but he corrected himself once she questioned him and she backed down when she stayed back and let him deal with Abir. It doesn't come as a surprise to me that Kunal has double standards for Abir and himself, he has said it in so many words: bhai ki baat alag hai. Kunal has always been the silent pillar of pragmatism that props up Abir's "cool" banjara lifestyle. He may claim to Kuhu that nobody forced him into this but he has also told Meenakshi that he did everything to be the son Abir couldn't be for her. So I think Kuhu sees something extremely valid that Kunal, with his low self-worth doesn't, and as his partner, she definitely deserves a say. She just needs to continue looking for better ways to communicate this to him.

Ha! @Nami, I guess we both answered each other's question 😆

I loved take-charge Kunal yesterday. And I loved that ultimately when he drew a line, Kuhu respected it. That's why I said in my earlier analysis that I was getting very married vibes from them. When one is in over their head, they can count on the other to see the bigger picture. ❤️

Oh! And as for the restraining, these two have always communicated through touch. I sort of see it as an extension of that.

Kunal's tone- Absolutely. I don't think it was right at all. It just makes it seem like Kuhu is dispensable to him. These little things really matter and Kuhu asked him why he had that tone only the second time he did it. I think she needs to see it as a problem, first and foremost. I would have never thought so, but I think Kuhu has low self-esteem in a relationship. For some reason, she thinks she's hit the jackpot with Kunal. Is that why she doesn't find his behaviour problematic?

Kunal's idea of the couple being a unit surfaces when it is convenient for him, like in today's episode. I so want to see lover boy Kunal. We saw a glimpse of it with the saree scene but I NEED MORE!

My username is actually one of the shorter version of my real name. I love it that you shortened it even more. Didn't know that was even possible😆

@bold: I feel Kuhu's low self-worth is not limited to her relationship with Kunal. The main problem with Kuhu's character is her low self-esteem, and it affects each and every relationship in her life. I think we just notice it more in KuKu's relationship because we analyze it more than Kuhu's other relationships.

I think the quote "We accept the love we think we deserve" perfectly explains why she tolerates Kunal's dismissive behaviour and still loves n stays with him. I agree that on some level Kuhu thinks that Kunal is like a jackpot she scored and she must stay with him even if he doesn't reciprocate her feelings with the same intensity. But I feel that her lenient behaviour towards Kunal mostly comes from the fact that she believes that whatever limited affection Kunal "gives" her is what she deserves. I find this change in Kuhu's attitude is kind of sad because we know that before she got married to Kunal, she had hoped that her life would be a fairytale and she would have an epic love story where her prince charming would shower her with all the attention and love in the world. But in real life, Kuhu comes last in Kunal's priority list and will forever stay at the bottom of that list.

As for Kunal, he has his own set of insecurities but those insecurities are not explored enough for me to sympathise with him in the same way that I do in case of Kuhu. Kunal mostly uses Kuhu to boost his ego. ( though Kuhu is treated like dirt by everyone in the show, she is supposed to be a social media star and successful businesswoman) Every time something happens in his life where he starts to feel that his self worth is starting to decline, he runs to Kuhu and wants a declaration of her love so that he can feel better. ( Like the time when the video of Mishti slapping Kunal came out, he immediately wanted to use Kuhu to feel better). I agree with you that for Kunal, his relationship with Kuhu is a mere convenience as she is there whenever he needs her and most of the time he treats her like he nuisance who creates problems for his brother and takes him away from his first love - his work. 😆

I would love to see more of loverboy Kunal but at this point, my expectations are very low when it comes to KuKu relationship.

Hi-fi about the Kunal thing😆

So if Kuhu would've trusted the bros do you think Mishti would've been held repsonsible? I don't think so. Abir would've trusted her and everyone would've followed the plan. Kuhu and Kunal would've left and Mishti Abir would've stayed back. But because Kuhu exploded it gave Mishti a chance to vent out at Abir that they need to put a fullstop to Kuhu's behavior (did she say it like 3 times🤪). She also went to the extremes saying Kuhu will break the bros. It hurt me but then Kuhu invited this allegation. Even if Kunal wanted to support her how could he?

1. He handled Abir well and explained what was going wrong and advised him to go to Mishti.

2. He handled Kuhu well by explaining her the actual reason why Mishti talked to Meenu.

And with the way Kuhu was being adamant and going on with the blame Mishti thing I guess he had to talk to her in that tone. She wasn't listening to anyone and Kunal could see that during her conversation with Abir. Before she went overboard with Abir he asked her to stop. Also he did say that you tried so now let me try.

About Kunal restraining Kuhu during the talk in the resort I guess that came in as a reflex. I see it in good light coz he feels its his right to stop her when she's getting hyper. Wish he pulls her like that in the bedroom ☺️🤣

No I agree with you Kunal acted mature about Abir leaving Mishti alone and telling Kuhu the reason behind Mishti talking to Meenu. Its just he loses his cool with Kuhu too soon. Whereas, Kuhu has always manged his problems well. He doesnt apply that same maturity in his relationship with Kuhu, which comes across as that he doesnt properly understand his feeling for Kuhu as a person, not Kuhu Rajvansh but just Kuhu.

@bold 1.. you just spilled the ugly truth out Nikki

@bold 2.. Can I cry for this? I so wanna say Kunal is not like that but that has been his trend so far. He goes to her or in fact she comes to him in times of distress to cheer him up. Whenever he feels she's drifting away that's when we see the zeal in him to get her back at any cost. Once he gets her he just ignores her.

He doesn't understand Kuhu yet. He's just seen her as Kuhu Rajvansh. Now that he's seeing her equation with Mishti he is confused.

Kuhu has always claimed that her family is most important to her and Kunal could've been under the impression that how much ever she dislikes Mishti she is still part of her family. Least did he know that Mishti is an exception for Kuhu and she always wanted her out of her life.

I sometimes think what if Mishti and Kuhu met in college? How would their equation be?

@nami & sam: thanks for clarifying on the restraining part, will try to see it from that perspective now, somehow the physical force bothers me, thats why I dint like kuhu pushing mish too, but you are right both sisters have man-handled each other, and its usual for them during arguments
