Bala vs Dreamgirl

Why do critics generally rate Bala above Dreamgirl ??

Wasnt Bala's second half quite hapazard whereas Dreamgirl was pretty much consistently funny throughout...

As a film also DG found way more audience acceptance than Bala.

What is the reason of rating Bala more than DG??

Bala anyday. Dreamgirl was horrible. Bala had a lot of depth and meaning revolving around the biggest obsession of people- good looks. It gave all the three main characters agency and normal personality traits. I love the last conversation between Bala and Bhumi's character. ❤️

Bala 's subject is more relatable and relevant also it was presented quite nicely unlike ujda chaman.

DreamGirl for me...I was laughing until my sides hurt

Bala was much more disjointed and lacked consistency...IMO it worked only because of Ayushman, Ujda Chaman was better in theme and treatment

First half was good but second half felt like they ran out of a storyline ...random end to the case...the proposal in the end seemed so random.

But that was the point na...the whole trap of rebound that we all fall for...where suddenly he started liking the girl whom he didn't like...I actually found that the best part about the second half... otherwise generally a bollywood film would show Ayushman-Bhumi getting married.
