Yesterday’s episode could have been a solid 9 but then the disjoint felt jarring...

The problem with daily soaps is that writers have to be on the go 24x7, that's the reason behind most of the banal writing on TV. Creativity needs time and space to cultivate itself.. But yesterday's episode was solid in terms of performance and teamwork of who executed the scenes. This change in Maya can also be explained, but why should there be a need to explain if it is properly shown.
