Here is my version of the Dharam Veer story…As to how can the story take form now…It starts at a point where Dharam, Veer, Agni and Sia…all the 4 of them have reached the Gurukul…The Gurukul's name is Shri Ram Purohit Gurukul. This particular extract is inspired from Shakespeare's classic "The Twelfth Night"

I am creating a story on it...Please do read it!!😊

In a far off land, there reigned a just king on the Kingdom of the Seven Seas called sapt Samudraghad. Everyone in the kingdom was joyous, birds chirped merrily all around, beautiful flowers blossomed and spirits of all beings soared high in the skies of delight. The king Shaurya, true to his name, was a magnificent Brave heart along with being a kind and just ruler.

The Almighty had blessed him with a beautiful angelic damsel daughter named Samaira. Princess Samaira, God's own masterpiece had eyes, a hue of light brown and they glistened under the Sun. They turned a dark brown when she was in rage and sorrow, but also flickered as a light brown when she was beaming with joy. Her hair was long and black, darker than the darkest ebony, and her skin, a milky fair as though Moon God's own Hand was upon her. Blessed with twinkling eyes. Samaira chirrped with mirth and ran merrily all around the palace. She danced like a dream, a gracefully carved sculpture in sparkling Marble, and sang sweeter than a nightingale. She loved all things bright and beautiful. Shaurya and his wife, Suvarna blossomed with joy when ever they set their eyes upon her. Right from the very beginning Samaira was taught sword-fighting, horse-riding and was given, both an education and treatment equivalent to a Prince. Maharani Suvarna, her Mother gently instilled qualities like chivalry, independence, kindness and a sense of justice in her. Thus Samaira grew up to be a true delight and a Dream Princess. A damsel with unmatched beauty and tales of her courage and intelligence created ripples all over the kingdom. Her subjects of Sapt Samudragadh grew to love and respect her. She was adored by one and all and she soon became a role model for many a young women.

As the saying goes, "Alls not well, always" and even a calm ocean can be devastated by a savaging, life-taking storm. Princees Samaira's fell prey to an ugly, Eva twist of fate. A catastrophe struck when Samaira was barely 16 in which her Father, Maharaj Shaurya was killed brutally in a war, by the ways of loath, greed and cheat. This left Samaira completely shattered into millions of unfixable pieces, which she herself was trying to put together. Her sorrow, so deep that it was unfathomable. What gave vent to her rage more was when she learnt about the way her father was killed. Slowly and steadily, all emotions deserted her, all but for one-Vengeance. Vengeance, Vengeance and Vengeance. Day and Night, all she could think of was her father and his death. Her blood boiled, Her heart ached, her nights went sleepless and her health detoriated. The instant thought of her father's death crumbled and swallowed her. She then made a vow to herself, she promised herself to avenge her father's death and devastate all the traitors who had ended not only her father's life, but also had taken a part of her soul away Her soul now was left tarnished. Thoughts of Vengeance, murder and mayhem swallowed her mind, body and soul. She no longer danced or sang. For her, flowers and stars had lost their meaning and beauty. She now only saw thorns instead of roses and the deep, dark, mysterious night instead of the twinkling stars that give way to mirth and hope in the distressed hearts of all beings. Samaira, Now immersed into sword-fighting, mortal combat, lost her gentle feminine touch.

These changed ways of Samaira put the queen into deep thoughts. She wouldn't let this happen to Samaira. Samaira was a young innocent girl who did not deserve these hard paths of life. Samaira deserved every ounce of joy that is a princesses right. Now, the kingdom's and Samaira…both the responsibilities were dangling over Maharani Suvarana's head. Thus, she decided to seek help. She confided in Senapati Krishnan who was the most trustworthy, noble and loyal knight of in the entire kingdom. Afetr hours of debate and days of pondering, both of them hit upon a way to calm Samaira down. Both decided to send Samaira to Shri Ram Purohit Gurukul where in she would learn the ways and receive the training of being a worthy Princess. In the Kala Mandir of that Gurukul Samaira would learn various art forms including Nritya and Sangeet . She would live with the Princesses of other lands and this would help her become a Fair Young Lady once again. The life in the Gurukul that was soon going to be hers, would keep her miles and miles away from the doom of sorrow that had overshadowed Sapt Samudragadh .

Samaira was aghast upon hearing her Mother's words. Suvarna turned a deaf ear to Samair's pleas and protests and was adamant on sending Samaira away, for her own good. Samaira spoke up, "Oh Mother!! Why do you do this to Me? How can you even think of taking such a step? At this hour of need where my Kingdom, my Land beckon me, my Country Men need me, how can I commit such a sin by thinking about my own selfish needs? I beg at your feet Mother. Let me stay here, please…or I fear, I will perish in there…" Maharani Suvarna spoke back, " The Kingdom and its subjects are my responsibility, not yours. My Darling Daughter, I dread to imagine my state without you. The very thought of waking up and not seeing your pretty face send shivers down my spin. My Little Sunshine, I am fulfilling my duties and swallowing this cruel poison of sending you away down my throat just for your own good. You may abhor me now, but there will soon come a day when You will chant a thousand Thank-You's to me. As for now, u must go. And this is my first and last decision."

With streams of tears running down her pink cheeks, Samaira ran back to her room. Feeling that her world had torn apart even more, She lay on her velvety blanket weeping and murmuring to herself, " How can the world be so cruel…How can the Good Lord pass such an unjust verdict against me?" Her best friend, Yashna came to her rescue. Samaira wept oceans and oceans of tears in Yashna's lap. Yashna just sat there, patiently, letting her friend empty the Sea of Sorrow that was overflowing in her heart. After hours had fleeted by, Yashna spoke up, " My dear friend, I know what dilemma tears you apart at this unearthly moment but do listen what I have to say to you. In the Shri Ram Purohit Gurukul apart from Princesses, Princes come as well. Charming young lads come from far off lands to quench their thirst for knowledge and to learn the mannerisms of an ideal prince. There they are taught all what a prince needs to know including politics, literature, philosophy, Martial Combat, Yudhniti, running an entire kingdom efficiently and looking after their subjects. Their characters are forged by discipline, determination and education." Upon hearing these words, Samaira's aching heart made way for a ray of warm sunshine lightning up the dark clouds of gloom. A meek curve in the form of a smile started to form on her face.

She then spoke with an aura of determination, " They say it right, when they say that in every difficulty is disguised an opportunity. Heaven has laid down a path before me. I will go to the Gurukul disguised as a boy to fulfill my duties that are God's own commands. I will burn in the fire of discipline and hard work to come out as a burning steel that can destroy my enemies. Alongside, I will never ignore the duties of a Princess too. My intentions are my sword and my courage is my shield. The time has now come for the world to realize and know that a woman is no less or weaker than a man"

Saying so, Both Samaira and Yashna gladly left for the Gurukul the very next day.

Coming Up : How all the foursome, Veer, Dharam, Samaira and Sia meet in the gurukul.)
