I understand and respect the fact that these stars are doing it for charity . But I wanna make a couple of points:

1. There are other ways to collect money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Firstly, Sony didn't need to do a music show. There are many other ways to contribute to a cause. They cudve done a dance show like nach baliye or sumthing else. I'm not saying dancing is easy or anything, but these celebs being good performers couldve done a decent job, perhaps better than trying to sing. And people would've watched something like that cos it wudve been watchable, and they wudve sent votes and the cause of Make a Wish wudnt have suffered the way it did by the Celeb FG flopping so badly. The point is, if u wanna put a show on TV, u have to make it watchable. Frankly, a lot of people have a heart and would wanna contribute through voting, but if Sony really wanted to reach out it went terribly wrong with the concept of a show that is insufferable to watch. Some may say, fine don't watch it if u don't like it, but then if ppl don't watch it, how is Make a Wish going to benefit? One's got to look at the practical side of things.

2. If they HAD to have a music show, they could've come up with the Dus ke Dus idea much before. At least all those ppl can sing, and people WILL vote cos they are so popular. The votes will pour in in far huger numbers than they did for the celebs. Sony has learnt its lesson. Why else are they ending Celeb Fg 2 weeks early?

2. Yes, these ppl on Celeb FG have taken out a lot of time but they are not those sorta 'celebs'. They are those TV stars who do NOT have hectic schedules, are not doing too much work, so that they cud do this. Its not like Tulsi, Parvati or Jassi are here. Perhaps if they were, the show wudve got many more viewers cos they are actual celebs, though I doubt they can sing either. Sony shudve given this sum thought.

While i am not being harsh on any of the contestants, I do think this show shudve done sum justice to the concept of 'sur' to get ppl to watch it. I have myself volunteered for several causes, and I would be delighted to see a TV show really making a difference. But Celeb FG was just not the answer.

Thanx for the reply Delphic.

I think one is right about the "bad" singers in the Celeb FG, but I think the cause was good. Maybe Sony wanted to play on the FG success and loop in for the cause.

Wish I could have voted....😔.but unfortunaltey could not. And I must say HATS OFF to the faculty for doing the job that they are doing (we r still watching it here in US)...teaching them from the basics...Sa Re Ga Ma 👏

Thanx to all of my IF friends who took time out and replied to my post.

Have fun!!

Well, C-fg was priceless so no updates. Delphic has given you a nice ans here is mine which I wrote as a separate post just pasting here......

I caught C-FG by chance, but was so glad I did as it's pretty hysterical viewing. I can imagine just how long it took Sony executives to come up with the format for this piece of junk……C-FG. Did not know what the hell was I watching? God save us from this show. Feel free to call it what you want… tripe...crap...it's all the same. But it was a highly amusing piece of crap. Hansika, Tisca & Bobby were howlarious. I guess the producers felt they needed to 'spice up' the show so they invited Bobby Darling just to stir up controversy. I can't stand people who go on contests like this in the name of charity…….I have a wish please stop singing. I always felt Javed ji was lil mean to some of the contestants but seeing these pathetic celebrity singers felt very sorry for the judges. But thankfully when the judges told them that most of them are "absolutely abysmal" there was no high voltage drama to watch! And Ila mam did not choke the living daylights out of Javed ji for putting the contestants in the danger zone?? Priceless!!

This show was fine and funny to laugh at and I guess, I was watching the show to laugh at all those bad singers, not to see some boring GOOD singing. After that, I realized just how ridiculous this show has become. Those two dipshit hosts Manav & Mandira don't help, either, they just get on my nerve especially Mandira, the way she yells ohhhhhh ahhhhh Bhartia junta ne kiise chuna break ke baad….please softly baby! But glad this new C-FG, crappy talent show is ending & from next week we see some real good singers. Where many of the contestants CAN sing and are very talented! Well looking forward for this new Flavor of the month Anokhe dus! 😃
