Not true at all. Sridevi's career was in a serious downward spiral ever since 1993's RKRCKR colossal failure. Laadla did some damage control but that being her only hit in a 5-year period plus the rise of Madhuri/Juhi caused Sri to have a certified flop era. If you read any magazine in 1995 or 1996 you will see for yourself.

And let's not forget the fact that Kaun Sacha Kaun Jhootha was released 2 months after Judaai and it was a flop. Her PR team/husband really tried to push Judaai as her last film and most people have fallen for it. She also had another release lined up with Akshay Kumar: Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin - but luckily Boney-ji didn't let her shoot the climax of the film or dub for it. Because he knew it was another sure-fire flop.

Kareena definitely had a low phase post her marriage. GTPM was not well received at all (even though I think it's a great film and I loved her performance in it!). And she was doing Supporting roles in crap films like Singham Returns for a few years because she became insecure and the need for adding "HITS" to her Filmography was more important than doing roles that were worthy of her talent. Her stock definitely went down during that period. All the best roles were going to Deepika, Priyanka, Vidya.

Kajol is the only one who's career never really saw a downward trajectory. Her last release was a dip for sure, so let's see how the next one turns out to determine her status. And let's not forget she turned down films that were guaranteed HITS: Mohabbatein, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Veer-Zara, KANK, 3 Idiots simply because she didn't like the characters. She is the only one to have this sort of confidence. And it's paid off for her.

Aishwarya Rai has had many flops too but I feel like her popularity never went down at all. She was always in demand. Even when she was boycotted by the Khans circa 2003. But for sure it was a low phase.

Kaun sacha kaun jhoota would of failed with any actress, meri biwi ka jawab nahi had production issues which wasn’t down to lead actors, Sridevi flop movies didn’t affect her position as a lead actress like it affected madhuri as she was still getting offers from big production camp even after she retired she just chose not to act, before judaai which was a big hit she had army which had a big initial opening and turned in above average business, Laadla did well commercially and khuda gawah wasn’t a flop, it amongst the top 3 grossers of 1992. Kajol has being doing well but not without support, Sridevi could of done same work with big heroes at her age as she continued to get big offers post marriage.

KSKJ was a decent film. I enjoyed it. But your excuse for it's failure is unforgivably cringeworthy. The fact is Sridevi's flops during that time DID affect her popularity and status. The most prolific filmmaker of that time Yash Chopra didn't approach her for DTPH when it was launched in 1995 - even though he had worked with her in Chandni and Lamhe, and he'd offered her Darr too. Which "big offers" did she get post marriage? In 1997, a 33-year old actress was seen as too old. Madhuri too stopped working at 34 in 2002. Today things are different.

Where did I say Khuda Gawah was a flop? It was between Khuda Gawah in 1992 and Judaai in 1997 - that period of 5 years in which she had 1 hit (Laadla in 1994) that I was referring to.

The fact that Sridevi's career slided in the mid 90s doesn't take away from the fact she wwill always go down as Top 5 in terms of popularity and talent of all-time. She was the best. But still, her career had ups and downs. Let's not pretend otherwise. She doesn't need that kind of false narrative.

#TanhajiTheUnsungWarriror is still carrying extraordinary public WOM, which is reflecting in its #BoxOffice trend. As such, I'm predicting the film to finish with lifetime collections above 200 cr nett. How much above 200 cr nett it reaches remains to be seen!
