Katrina is/was a star, a household name. Stardom koi bhi aaj ki ladki actress ka nahi hai to be brutally honest. The only one currently whom people are like "iski movies acchi hongi, chalo theater mai dekhenge" is Alia, but that also got a huge jerk due to Kalank.

Deepika ka scenario kiya tha ki, she has that power of pull during the mid 2010s ,but she just like Katrina post 2012, did a mistake of not doing movies on regular interval.

Even Pamdavat was sold on her name, lekin role kitna meh diya ki, saara credit Sindhi Bhai le gaya.

Katrina doesn't do great roles, she needs to do movies at regular interval like every four months or so on. Lack of exposure to theater going audience killed her. Just look at her movie rate at her peak of 2009-2012, and compare it to later on. You can get the difference, and also her roles apart from Tiger series and Bharat(havent watched Zero yet) haven't been good or reasonably sharing good space like say a Rajneeti or APKGK or NY or TMK or MBDK or ZNMD.

Newyork back in 2009 collected 35 crore in first wekend which will be more than whole chapak first week collection. Add 11 years inflation and the gap will be more insulting. Apkgk, ranbir didnt have a single hit by then

Mbkd was sold on kats name. Same imrans movie with kareena in 2013 bombed with opening and also flopped with deepika remember?

After her downfall and u deepika fans calling her flop, phantom opened better than piku in same year.

I don’t know about others but I’m glad it’s been proven that madam ji never had star power. Her haughty fans were always screaming that she is the so called biggest chuperstar of BW. Now it’s proven that’s not the truth. Karma did fantastic job this time!👏
