Karthik is an adult. He too has some responsibility for this situation. He is the one who promised her that he would make things work out. Anyway what's done is done. Naira can go back to wearing her painfully long earrings that effect her brain

Yeah kartik cant be absolved of his responsibility completely , both he and naira did some very ridiculous things which snowballed into this..but vedika could have been a better character ..she was a mess and her own actions were responsible for it, that's why she couldn't get audience sympathy....there is a limit to which a person can force themselves on someone and then expect to be loved..

The problem is, our cvs introduce too many things at the same time and then forget to actually address them in detail.

Kartik married Vedika and stayed married to her because he considered her his responsibility. Her father died saving his life and that’s huge. Any person would feel indebted if they were in this position. However, even though it was made clear prior to the marriage that Kartik was only marrying her for his family and to fulfil his duty, once the marriage happened and Naira reentered Kartik’s life, there was no mention of the circumstances around which the marriage took place. Kartik’s character had no opinion about the marriage, he wasn’t shown introspecting, there were no monologues of him having to chose between his heart and duty.
Mohsin was the one who kept reiterating in his bytes that Kartik considers Vedika his responsibility and he’s torn btw the love of his life and his duty. He repeatedly mentioned that Vedika’s father died saving him and that Vedika had looked after the family while they were going through a depressed phase. Had the cvs actually highlighted these points in the show and cared enough to show Kartik’s POV, his indifferent attitude towards the marriage would have made sense but they chose to fully ignore his stance which made it appear as if he was willingly married to Vedika.

Kartik didn’t even have a reaction to Naira sending him the divorce papers. He was only concerned about her taking his son away. They didn’t even show if Kartik knew about his second marriage being illegal. Half of these scenarios, like divorce and Kartik reregistering his marriage with Vedika were only introduced to calm down the fans and justify the majorly flawed storyline.

The writing in yrkkh is very poor presently...they say the show is about relationships....but the issues surrounding the relationships are not analyzed in depth.. tbh if shivangi and mohsin had not had their amazing chemistry and if they did not deliver out superb performances...this show would have fallen down ages ago. They are keeping the show alive. I think these present writers should be replaced ...I’ve seen so much better on itv ...So there are some very good writers around.. and after the leap, if the new actors are not appealing ...and together with poor writing ...this show may lose many viewers very quickly..🤔

I bet that’s the whole plan ... wean the fans naturally off the show and eventually pull down the curtains after x number of episodes for marking history

I am aware of the fact that kaira’s relationship is ruined (as they can’t change the fact that Kartik once married this lady)which even writers can’t change now😞but now after vedika’s exit, finally I would be able to see full episodes on Hotstar...💃💃💃🎉🎉
