Trigger words... Sana's 'OTT act'

So many people here and on twitter make fun of Sana for her OTT behaviour specially when someone uses the word 'Jealous' around/for her. I know most people just watch the show for entertainment but I just want this to be a learning moment for everyone.. coz most people are very quick to judge. Learning something new doesn't hurt, right?

What is a trigger?

A trigger is a reminder of a past trauma. This reminder can cause a person to feel overwhelming sadness, anxiety, or panic. It may also cause someone to have flashbacks. A flashback is a vivid, often negative memory that may appear without warning. It can cause someone to lose track of their surroundings and “relive” a traumatic event.

Trigger words:

Trigger words and phrases are those that cause a listener to feel strong emotions because of previous experiences.

Trigger words can sometimes be so personal that other people can’t be expected to foresee that their use of the word or phrase will be a trauma trigger.

I hope this knowledge will help you understand her and many others like her better and you'll be kinder in your approach going forward.

Sana has said it a million times now that please don’t call her jealous.. but seems like housemates actually love to make her feel bad!

I feel bad for her that they some contestants are taking her weakness to poke her for some footage!

Really low of Sid, Paras and even Aarti was horrible for defending Sid’s poking of Sana as cute or whatever she said!

Calling Sana jealous is not as bad as saying ‘aisi ladki’ with negative connotations, expressions and gestures.

Jealous is clearly a trigger word for Sana and I just explained in the post what it can do to someone.
You can’t compare the two instances.
People have been using that word for her for almost a 100 days now. I can only imagine what’s it doing to her mental health.

How about entertainer???

Yeah. Trigger getting used in same context like everyone needs a so called ‘therapy animal’ 🙄.

So sana needs understanding, and kind approach for her reaction but Rashmi is called fake for her reaction when she is slu*shamed with sexual innuendos.

I don’t think her reaction was fake at all. It was a build up of likely many things that we aren’t even aware of.

I completely agree..Sana herself is scared to even pronounce the word 'jealous' from her own mouth. She keeps saying dont call me 'that'. I think it triggers some form of anxiety in her.

Considering that Sana is not worried in sharing a bed with a man and goes over-board kissing and hugging him, means she is not much bothered about the perception her behaviour is going to create and the aftermath of it. She calls herself characterless on national tv. Then why a seemingly lighter word 'jealous' bothers her so much that she goes berseck defending it.

This is definately related to some past mental trauma.

Absolutely, someone who is so bold can't be bothered by a word like jealous ....

given her traumatic, insecure, childhood and upbringing, I'm confident she has a very bad experience in the past, that triggers anxiety and emotional distress and she kind of compensates harming herself , it's really sad, people are ignorant to this deep seated emotional / mental health issue ..Ive seen people deliberately self harm.... to over come the trauma of child abuse , domestic violence and even rxxe....this is exactly the reason why we should have awareness about these problems, so that general population can understand and help victims.

If Paras-Mahira ne use kiya "jealous" word past mein.. yaha Sid ka kya galathi hai? Shenaaz aggressive hai .. kis tarah usne Sid ko maara etc..

aaj Arti ne use kiya "jealous" word. Sid tha bhi nahi waha.. par Shenaaz Sid ko blame kar rahi hai jaha Sid ko pata bhi nahi kaun kya kaha..
