Besides any creative should know that good storytelling increases trp's.
If I may add a bit to the part in bold.. this is more or less just a wish or assumptions for viewers like you and me who want to see a good story. But for TRPs the data and trends have proven otherwise. Most of the top shows in TRP race seem to have same illogical stuff making rounds.
As soon as content is related to TRPs its quality has gone down in most of the cases. This is true for ITV and because KZK is competing for TRPs too for business, its content is also going down the drain.
PS. Ever since I started watching this show which was quite late, they never had a story. They just have a few inconsistent and confused characters and CVs have only been trying all the permutations and combinations to get ratings. For now Komolika-Prerna are getting them TRPs. The day viewers are bored of these two CVs will come up with something new and that new it will be another character not a new story. So they definitely don't have a long term plan in place.
